I was lucky, I quit my first day. I was fortunate to be off of work for a couple of days when I started using my PV. I was pretty much useless for about 3 days. Slight headaches and withdrawal from what ever else i was addicted to besides Nicotine. The morning crave was a problem for me as well, but after adjusting my flavor and TH with a combination of trial and error it worked itself out. I wound up sleeping in a bit and taking nap breaks over the first 3 days and that helped a lot. Don't get discouraged and if you break don't beat yourself up over it. try again an remember we are all different so it might take a little time to adjust. Good Luck!

I quit the day I started vaping, although if somebody would offer me a cigarette right now, I would be hard pressed to refuse it, so I still have that desire, but vaping keeps that desire under control. Since I would consider smoking, then I cannot really say that I have totally quit smoking. Once I no longer consider accepting a smoke, then I will say that I quit.

I too switched one out for the other. Vaped the schmidt out of the pv starter kit i got. Still have it but have moved on to other longer lasting batts and mods. Still like using the old 510 manual on occasion and for backup. Found a half pak of analogs in my truck about a month into vaping. Hit the trash with no problems.

It was instantaneous for me with my eGo Tank - before that, I had a cigarette-looking thing from loong-totem that sufficed for giving me a fix in no-smoking places (airports, movie theaters, etc) and when it died, I upgraded to an eGo.

I put out the cigarette I was smoking when the first battery came off the charger to try it out. I haven't lit another cigarette since, haven't even wanted to. With proper gear, it's totally effortless.

I quit the first day i started up with my e cig. It was a bit shaky from time to time. I was throwing all my hopes at a little mini-cig that i had to faff about with way too much. I ordered a bigger (cigar-sized) e cig and that was it. I now have no problem resisting the awful tasting and smelling analogs. When my son comes to visit he keeps going outside to smoke so we wont be tempted to have one. But i go outside with him. It just doesn't bother me no more. I have sympathy for him that he is stuck on analogs still.
I can do this. You can do this. If you don't want to quit then it'll be hard whatever you do. If you do then e cigs have been the best quitting aid to me. And i've tried everything (i hated the fact that i smoked). With an e cig beside you you can quit and be calm and relaxed.

It took me around two years to completely quit. I smoked cigarettes for 35 years, and it was hard to give them up. I went back and fourth, and bummed one every now and then . But, I got an attitude when I found out that the government,State and federal, Hike up the taxes anytime they want. So I decided I wasn't gonna give them another dime of my money and I haven't.
Also I Got tired of being the Leper in the crowd. My son is in the marching band and I spend alot of time at school,I know some of the kids smoke. I need to be able to at least be an advocate for them to quit. I guess it takes what it takes. So don't you beat yourself up.At least you took the first step, and you'll feel better when you do.

I quit smoking on a wednesday, by saturday I was ready to kill for a cigarette. I bought a convenient store e-cig. Vaped it for a few weeks and moved onto a 510...Never wanted another cigarette! I traded one habit for another. But I so love vaping all the different flavors. I have also LOST about 15 lbs

My story exactly. Can't add a thing, even the same equipment. Just instantaneous cessation.
No desire for an analog at all.
Cheers

I din't start vaping to quit. After all the stuff I tried to quit, I wasn't convinced that anything would work and didn't want to feel like a looser AGAIN.

Just started vaping while smoking. Went from a pack a day or more to a pack every 3 months without really trying (BTW, the bed time cigarette was the next to last to go and the morning one the very last to go...).

I still like to smoke, and from time to time, still do. It's become like...that banana split that I get from time to time: delicious treat but wouldn't do it every day.

I've been vaping about 3 months and am now down to 1 or two cigs a day.

Like others have already said, I didn't expect e-cigs to help and I've failed so many times before that perhaps I haven't put enough effort into a quit. I'm still amazed that after 30+ years of smoking that I'm down to one or two a day without a whole lot of effort.

The first day after receiving my first e-cig, I went from a PAD to a half pack. About a month later, I bought a bigger, better e-cig and went to about 6 cigs a day. Then I started to realize that I really would rather vape than smoke so I'm down to 1 or 2 a day. (Plus I've found which juices satisfy.) Now I'm realizing that the only reason I have to have that first thing in the morning cig is because that's what I've done every morning for the last 30 years. I think it's only a matter of time and mind set now.

What I really love about e-cigs is that I don't have that feeling of loss or that I'm being deprived like I always had on previous attempts to quit smoking. I does just come naturally.

At first I started vaping only on weekends but still smoked during the week. Over time I increased the vaping while decreasing the smoking. I started vaping on week nights, then took my vaping supplies with me to work. After about a year, I vape 98% of the time but still smoke occasionally. I love the smell and feel of a tobacco cigarette. I have maybe one or two cigarettes a week.Just go at your own pace, as others have said. You'll get there.
