Maybe 5-6 weeks after getting my first ego/clearo setup, I bought an Aga T2 to go on a Vamo. Once I got that down, I switched to mechs. Been using various gennies on mechs ever since. Same old 0.7-0.9 ohm standard-issue coils. Nothing fancy. Just fancier gennies.

I do like to play around with different gear and coils every now and then. Good fun and all that... but nothing that offers anything I want that I don't already get.

That happened after I got my RSST and started making my own juice, about 2 months into vaping. I'd been using an AGA-T2 on my mech, but it was such a cranky device and the flavor wasn't there. When I got my RSST I had arrived. Coiled at .7 ohm with a mesh wick it's perfect, and with the all day vape juice I came up with I'm very happy. I see no reason to buy other newer more trendy equipment, or ever buy anyone else's juice again.

OMG I love my RSST v1 I own DIDs, cobra, Zens and a few other genesis even the RSST v2 but the RSST v1 in auto dripper mode is my throw in my purse and never leak, drop on pavement and never crack, my kayfun's only wished they tasted this good atty. It's my all day beater I have it hybrid on a ehpro ea clone with a kick II and pick it up more than my 4 provaris. I'm not knocking my provaris its just my I'm out in the field damn my job sucks and need a beater mod mod

Good for you Bonkers! I think the RSST is much underrated. Sure there are all kinds of whiz-bang fancy attys out there, and more every day, but that humble little RSST has served me so very well for almost a year now, and continues to do so. Can't think of why I'd buy anything else. I might get the Pyrex one, but maybe not.

I've been vaping for 2 1/2 years. Its been a journey and a general progression to my current sweet spot. Not a cloud chaser nor do I want to be, I'm more about the flavor and not just the vapor production.

Started with cigarette size batteries. Poor battery time and limited juice attachment options cause me to move up the vaping ladder after only three weeks.

Skipped the intermediate eGo phase entirely.

Bought an 18650 battery mechanical mod for all day battery time. Used cartotanks for better flavor, more consistancy, and larger juice capacity.

Bought my first Provari regulated mod about two months after buying the mech. A Provari and cartotank became my primary setup for almost 2 years.

The last few months I've begun using a Kayfun rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) for the Provari and rebuildable drip atomizers (RDA) for my mechanical mod.

Make sure to try different gauge wires. Story below--->

Response to question 1, I did not set out to be cloud chasing. My first equipment was a SS Nemesis Clone, Kayfun lite plus the version with two airholes by EHPro, 28g Kanthal, 18650 batteries, digital efest charger, evolve Kick v2, and some organic cotton. Wrapping a 2.0 ohm coil of 28g kanthal and setting the Kick to around 11-13 watts worked great for the Kayfun I mentioned earlier. It took me 3-5 builds and about a week to get there.

My vapor production never reached the equivalent of the production I saw on youtube videos, so I bought an RDA. Not to much success until....

In response to your second question, it took me two months to really create some massive clouds. **Disclaimer** Still a newbie to this world. I only use regulated mods for Science through Safety. When I use my RDA in my mech mod I throw a evolve Kick v2 in it. I only used 28g Kanthal for the first month and a half. I just purchased 22g Kanthal, specifics to follow: 7 wraps , dual coils positioned near the air intakes, .3ohms, in a Stillare RDA, on a Cloupor T5 at 50 watts, and Nicoticket's 6mg Custard's Last Stand 50pg/50vg juice and I am creating weather storms compared to using 28g Kanthal.

For the past year, I have found my sweet spot with my KayFun Lites and my Ithakas. These said atties are used on Mech and DNA devices. Until something truly stellar is introduced, I am quite content with the said.

Now, with regard to my dripping atties, I continue to experiment with different RDAs, coil assemblies, and wicking configurations, which keeps everything fun and exciting.

When I started vaping, I never thought that it would turn into an enjoyable hobby, which it has. This is in large part to the wonderful group of members here at ECF.

Two questions
1. How long did it take you to find your sweet spot/setup and
2. How long did it take you to get used to said setup more for the cloud chasers

1: I've been vaping 1 year and I'm not there yet at the sweet spot; but basically after 3 to 6 months I reached a steady state.
2: never.

just when you think you've found it, another comes along, kind of deal.

I started with a rebuildable and it's great, I just didn't know what I was doing, still probably don't.

the rebuildable at the kiddos supposedly coming back hone then the eGos/spinners and protanks, mvps & kangers, and I truly enjoy what I'm vaping, could I live with this setup I have for now and be satisfied with the vape? yeah I think so, and it took us what two months to get to this one, although, theyv'e got those new boxes coming out..and the turbos..gee I'd like to try those *lol*

Somewhere out there
A year and a half. But it's not as if was unhappy during the journey, just that I always knew there was more to explore. The final piece of the puzzle was an all-day-vape flavor and an RDA to go along with the Kayfuns. Now, I really don't think I'm missing out on anything important, especially since I'm not interested in. sub-ohming or clouds.

I've been vaping for just about 4 years and I can say for sure that I have found my sweet spot many many time over the years but it seems to always be evolving.

Same here. Going on 4 years and although I always seem to enjoy my current set up at the time.. I can always find something new or different that I like just a little bit better. :)

Been vaping for over 2.5 years, and almost exclusively on cigalikes. Have made some slight changes. There are days I miss using prefills regularly, but most of the time I don't. I would say I found my sweet spot when using prefills but added icing to the cake when I went to clearos. The endless search for the 'perfect vape' doesn't appeal to me. I like exploring flavors, so am not stagnant in my usage.
