My husband and I started vaping at the same time, my one sis I dragged down to the vape shop just a day or so after I started. All 3 of us are smoke free now. We are planning a trip in July to go see family, and my other sister and several of my nieces and nephews smoke, so we'll take lots of gear with us then and have them all try it. Hopefully I'll have some "notches" on my belt after that.

I've had a lot of interest from my smoking friends and family. My son got me started on e-cigs when he ordered a starter kit from V2. He quickly moved on to an eGo battery and clearomizers. I took his V2 set and dropped my 2-4 pack a day habit immediately. We have both moved on to more serious PV's. He has a Tesla and a new Mech Mod. I'm on a Segelei ZMAX V3 Telescope. So far I've gotten my sister in law, Brother and two friends into vaping. My daughter and a niece are ready to start. I've also talked to a number of complete strangers, who had heard about e-cigs but had never gotten any information from someone who actually had one. Seems that people are very interested in trying them out.

I have converted my boyfriend because we spend so much time together I figure we might as well do this together for better results. I must say tho, even around people who are smoking I have been doing well and haven't given into smoking one quite yet. I have the will power to wanna stop smelling & coughing my brains out. I have recommended to anyone trying to quit that this is the way to do it :)

So far I've converted my mother, a co-worker, and my aunt. I'm working on another co-worker and random folks who see me vape in public. Does anyone else feel like kinda weird when folks are curious about e-cigs and you start to sound like a wandering preacher spreading the good news of vaping?....lol. I know I do :2cool:

I got one of my friends started, he wasnt a really heavey smoker, maybe a half a pack a day, but he had tried to quit and couldnt. I ordered him a 650 ego kit and some juice and he hasnt smoked an analog for a week now :). I also converted my ex GF, she was at my house the day I got my first e cig and I let her try it. She gave me money that same day and I ordered her a starter kit as well. I think she has only smoked 3 or 4 analogs in the last 3 weeks. She was a pack a day smoker just like I was before we started vaping.
I have another friend thats gonna get into it once he has the money for a starter kit sometime in july :)

I want to convert some of my friends but I don't want to come out as the ahole that quoted smoking and now is preaching how bad cigarettes are. If they ask for help I would be more then willing to help them.

Yeah, but they know you were a smoker, and it's working for you. Everyone knows cigarettes are bad. Obviously if they're not receptive don't push the issue, but I find a lot of smokers quite intrigued by the thought of an e cig working. Whether they tried a disposable or cig a like that didn't work for them or just wrote them off all together. They see a former smoker using this and not smoking, usually they're at least curious. Let them try it if you feel comfortable with that.

Sent from my phone, please excuse typos.

A few people have asked me questions at work. One came up to me on Wednesday and told me he called a site and they helped him pick one out, should have arrived Friday, looking forward to his review tomorrow.

My boyfriend and his friends made fun of me at first. Now all of his friends ask me what flavor I have and ask for some. No converts yet but we'll see. Boyfriend still thinks it's silly.

I may have helped a guy at work convert but I won't find out until tomorrow.

A couple weeks ago I showed him my e-cigs just because we work together and we sometimes chat about our lives outside of work. He said that he tried one awhile back but didn't like it. Said he got it out of some magazine that offered all kinds of unusual merchandise. I dropped the subject and we started talking about something else. I assumed that since he had already tried an e-cig, nothing I could say would persuade him to try again. Besides, I didn't want to be pushy.

A few days went by and I mentioned to him a couple of new flavors that I had just ordered. Again, it was a short conversation that really led nowhere. He heard me out but didn't appear to be interested.

Friday morning he asked me "I have a question for you. If it's none of my business just tell me so and I'll shut up. What is the name of the company that you get your e-cigs from"?

I told him the name of the website and gave him a few pointers. I was so delighted that he asked that I went home on my lunch break and grabbed a fully charged Volt battery and some unused pre-filled cartomizers of different flavors and strengths and brought them back to work with me. I handed them to him and told him to take them home for the weekend and have his way with them. I told him to call me if he had any questions but I have not heard from him.

I'll find out tomorrow if he's a convert or not.
