How many would like lighter draw, more airflow for VK batteries?

Would you like a lighter draw, a heavier draw, both, or just keep it the same?

  • I would like a lighter draw than the current batteries.

  • I would like a harder draw than the current batteries.

  • I think the current draw is perfect.

  • I would like to have both options available.

A couple things I have figured out....
#1 clean the battery if the draw is too hard....sometimes the little holes are just clogged up. I use a dental pick. Also...buy a tube of Noalox at the auto parts store

#2 Sometimes it's because I have overfilled the cart. So I just take it off and blow out the extra juice and it's fine.

#3I have had a few carts where the paper label isn't lined up perfectly and the paper is covering up the notches on the cart. Single edge razor blade works wonders. :)

That said........is there a converse to the toothpick trick? I realize I might ruin the battery so I'll be taking a chance but couldn't you just drill an extra hole? Or widen the existing ones?

Thanks for posting your tips Lorikay13. I am not sure what Noalox is, or how you use it to help the battery draw situation. Can you please elaborate on that a bit.

Noalox is a liquid used to prevent galling when assembling 2 aluminum pieces, such as aluminum conduit. It is also a continuity enhancer, to maintain the ground connection between pieces of said conduit.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST USING NOALOX ON THE BATTERY THREADS!!!

That stuff is toxic if ingested. Every time you take a drag, the air will flow over the Noalox, be heated by the atty, and drawn into your lungs.

Not good!

Thanks Pawpaw for the reply maybe we should send her a pm about toxic vapers that can be ignited by our cartomizers. I Read about that somewhere on e-cig forums and the cartomizer on some got as hot as 1200+ degrees. Plus different ignition points for different types of flammable gases (ex. gas pump fumes) And holly heya, you might just cause a fire explosion. They also said something about cell phones doing the same thing with certain flammables. You can't. See the fumes but you will suck them into your VK
Something to think about before vaping anywhere, hehehe! Those air vents on the batt/cartos lead to that hot wire.... You have all heard that sizzle before....smile!!

For some of you who are having trouble with too tight of a draw on your batteries, try cleaning out the little air holes under the threads.

Sometimes even a brand new battery will have clogged holes. Use a needle or pin (push pin works great) to clear those holes.

Also check sticker placement. I had a sticker that was covering up the airholes on the carto.

Hi All,
I like all the different batts that I have and they all draw differently. Although I've had to use the toothpick trick on some of mine due to to light of draw. I really believe that much of it depends on the carto. I have dome that work great and a few that I have to play with. All and all, I think they should be left alone since most people adjust them to suit their needs as I do. To change them will make some happy and some unhappy and I realize that we all can't be happy. I my self like a tighter draw and I still get a ton of vapor if the carto is a good one. Thanks.

I'm still confused about how "light draw" is being used. My auto 808 batts allowed tons of air through, whistled, and sometimes would not start the atomizer. I then broke a toothpick in one hole. Now it easily starts the atomizer, doesn't whistle, and produces way more vapor. Which means light draw; easy to start vapor or allows more air?
