How much did you spend when you first started?

So like most hobbies you have to invest a lot at the beginning of it and I've spent around £100 give or take on all this e-cig business. I've got two starter kits and around 100ml of e-liquid and I'm quite satisfied but I guess I want some extra opinions on spending a bit on it. I've learned a lot about e-smoking and I've learned from early mistakes I made in the past so is this normal to invest a bit of money at the start?

I suppose one way to look at it is, in the long run, money savings and health improvement.

In my first month I was over 1,000 into it. I "went big or went home" and went for the best VV device available right from the start basically (A Saber Touch VV). I went to a vape store and actually physically tried multiple mods to determine what I liked, including trying tons of juices right there on the first day.

Day one I think I spent like 350 maybe?

I think I have spent about $250 which means I have awhile yet before I break even. I understand the theory of saving money by vaping rather than smoking, just not the practice.

Me for day one was $120 EGO starter kit and 2 bottles of juice. Since then well thats a different story so far it looking like probably like 8 to 9 hundred give or take some. Thats in 3 months time. But no regrets.

Already spent a few hundred and just started earlier this month. I honestly don't mind pouring out money to keep myself off tobacco. Money is easy to come by, new lungs are not.

Edit: A few hundred bucks isn't really that bad in the grand scheme of things. I'm a computer gamer and I've spent over a grand on different keyboards and mice, and thousands on hardware. Startup cost for wasting time slaying dragons, battering down demons, and defending zerg rushes for me was a few grand over about 3 months back in the 90's. Startup cost for this is easily under 200, so I consider it a pretty reasonable hobby.

It seems like a lot initially, but when I look at the veteran signature banners and see $$$$$$ saved in the thousands, I know I will eventually be ahead. For now, I'll just continue trying every juice that sparks my fancy.

I'm guessing about $600.00 in the first month. For my partner and I, bought 2 eGo starter kits, then 2 Reo Minis, with batteries, chargers, attys and drip tips. It's nice to have back-ups for everything. Add several bottles of juice, and it comes to a hefty first month's expenditure. It will certainly go down from here, as I can't imagine we'll amass anything more than juice, and the occasional attys and batteries.

Hiya Chrissie, aye I should have listened to you hehe but I completely forgot about your recommendation and purchased a VGo starter kit.

My intentions are to only use it in my house and never outside, I've noticed that after days of my mini e-cig kit being in my jacket, being thrown about, messed with while walking down streets and during work that it looks a mess. So I'll continue to use that for that and keep this as my prized possession and it will hopefully last a lot longer.

Also I've sent one of my e-cigs back for a refund, one from e-cigarette web. No response yet but I guess it will probably turn up there tomorrow or day after.

My startup kit was $66.69 incl. shipping from China. My first mistake was not ordering juice right then because it would been covered under the minimum shipping charge. I knew 10ml wasn't enough, but somehow I slipped... Anyway, then I had to order juice. $26.60 for 30ml of a really tasty vape from PinkSpot. So, $93.29 total to start.

I've since ordered extra clearomizers & more juice, and am now up to ~$255 @ almost 2 months in. But I haven't spent a dime on analogs.

Placed the first order last week. Looking at right around a $375 initial investment. If I can keep my juicing to a minimum (good luck with that) or find a flavor that I really enjoy from this first batch, I should be able to save a bit by buying single flavors in bulk or becoming a DIYer.

Either way, it's an investment in your health. If it gets you off analogs, it's worth every penny.
