It's not an obsession. It's just a part of American life. Firearm ownership, by private citizens, is the first defense against governmental tyrrany. Non-Americans have trouble understanding that, and appear to me to be overly passive in their interactions with their governments. I have no idea why.

I don't need them, but it is my constitutional right to own them, and that is a right I assert with a great deal of personal confidence. I simply understand and appreciate firearms in the same way that I understand and appreciate any other machine or electronic device. They're also fun to shoot--kind of a personal best in honing one's skills with pleasurable practice--very relaxing.

Actually, I do; but only if that person(s) want to kill or maim me or any of my family members. I have the inalienable right to self-defense, should the need arise.

No. I live in a very safe neighborhood; but the perception of personal insecurity is not the reason to own a firearm. In fact, a person who buys a firearm out of fear is the last person who should own one. Scared people hurt or kill others accidentally, and give responsible firearm owners a bad reputation.

With my Reo Grand, I only need an extra atty for just in case.
With my eGo, an extra carto. (because I take both my Reo and eGo with me. The ego lives inside a lanyard around my neck).

BUT, with that said, I do live in earthquake country and we always have to be prepared with blankets, water, food rations, flares, etc in our trunks. and, now I have to be prepared with vaping supplies instead of extra cigs. Unfortunately, I often take my backpack with it's double stuffed containers stuffed inside. You just never know if you'll be stuck on the wrong side of the now non-existant bridge or the new mud avalanche.

My addition is an eyeglass case with a juice a battery and filled cartos....tossed into a military backpack given to me by my son...its loaded too....oh does a k-bar attached to my blazer door count? If I am gone longer than the 8-10 hour work day I add to the eyeglass case and make sure the pcc is in the blazer....but thats just me....

If it's only a couple hours, I don't bring anything...hold it, hold it. :) Long trip, 2 Rivas in an eGo case with 5 1 ml clear carts and 4 attys.

Keys, my friend, I can see the curiosity from abroad. The original question about firearms was just a question. On the other hand, the right to bear arms is part of American tradition and culture. Toughie. Does this mean the winter crab offer is off? :)

lol. this is a hotly debated subject here in the US. We feel the need to inform anyone who asks why we carry/bear arms/own a gun

I keep a small case in both my car and hubbys car at all times which has one ego batt, one atty, one carto, one DT, and a 3 ML bottle of juice in it for emergencies. If I leave my house with my Hogmod I talke nothing else since I have all I need for an entire day. If I choose to take another mod with me I also take extra batts and at least one 10ml bottle of juice with me.

Packing for a several days to several weeks away from home is an entirely different matter as LOTS of vaping stuff goes with me. Better to be prepared then to be without.
