Using a coil that has a resistance lower than 1 ohm will generally be because you want to use a higher power level. A higher power level usually requires a coil with more mass which will intrinsically have a lower resistance. You choose a power level, the coil surface area and mass, and airflow will need to match this demand or you will get poor performance or a dry hit. There are lots of variables including your own personal preferences. Getting a great vape requires a reasonable understanding of the factors involved, and a lot of experimentation.

I know it's direct lung but how should you vape is it long and slow or pull quite hard and fast ???

It's not really about resistance as much as about power (watts). I have a single coil setup at 1.2 ohms and a dual coil setup at 0.35 ohms. Both vape very well at around 23 watts and I draw the same speed (and always direct lung) from each. Keep in mind that with dual coils the total resistance equals half of each coil's resistance, so the dual coils are around 0.7 ohms each.

OTOH, I have another dual coil atty setup for around 40 watts that reads 0.25 ohms, not much less than the 0.35. I will draw that a bit faster and also do shorter hits.

Once you go higher than say 50 watts draw speed should increase more or you're probably not getting the full benefit of the higher power. Also, the higher you go in watts the more you will probably tend to go lower in resistance because you'll probably use thicker wire (or more wires).

These are basic starting points ... you'll have to experiment from there for yourself. You can't 'break' anything, so play around with it. As long as you're not getting burnt hits you're fine :)
