How'd You Choose Your ECF Member Name?

I'm so original. My first name is Ken and my last name starts with an A. I use a different handle for each of my interests, and I figured that since this is a "real life" interest, I would use this name. For some reason people think I'm a girl!
Wow, so many interesting stories!
When I joined ECF I needed to ask questions in a hurry (I was anxious to get started), so I just took the name I used in a woodworking forum. It comes from my hobby, which is creating mixed media scale reproductions (aka miniatures), and I build with 'tiny' lumber.

Well- My username is just another 'hobby' of mine... DJ RyckRak
(got so many of those dang hobbies !)
Really- Had a 'time' trying to come up with a DJ name !
Must have googled 1000 names- apparently DJ's have taken every word available !!!
Other than my wordpress site, this is only the second 'forum' I have been on.

Been using this name on forums since '98 or so. I didn't know it was a legit Italian name when I came up with it. I pronounce it mona-cell-e like cell phone, not chell-e.
Mine is a combination of my son's name and my nickname for him. If it wasn't for him I would have never stopped smoking. Figured it was a good reminder as to why I stopped.
My lessons used to be 50 dollars for a half hr and 75 for an hr ( and this was over ten years ago!) but come out to visit and your lesson is free!
Are you sure about that. It could get pretty dangerous! Lol!
'Iffy' was 'bestowed' upon me after using a more complex and meaningful handle on a guitar site a few years ago. It's short for '2ifbyC'. That's based upon my love of our country's history, my love for the sea and my last initial.
Mine was given to me a few years back as a nickname. My now husband, at the time boyfriend, was nicknamed c-swizzy. So when we started dating his friends nicknamed me she-swizzy since I was the only serious girlfriend of his that they ever met. Luckily we ended up married and the nickname will be stuck forever now.
Hubby calls me Robino and most sites Robino is usually taken and so is Robin. To avoid having a duplicate I just tack a 1 at the end of Robino. It usually works

When my two oldest girls (I have four girls) were younger, around 6 and 8, they were calling everything "of doom".
We had the "dog of doom", "peanut butter and jelly sandwiches of doom", "house of doom"... it went on and on. Of course, I became the "mommy of doom". Even now, 7 years later, they continue to joke around and call me the mommy of doom ("and we're doom!" lol).
So, it stuck. Makes for a great user name, and I even still sign some cards to the kids as "mod". I also sometimes just sign the symbol % which is the modulus operator, or "mod" in mathematics. (Yes, I'm a math geek.)

I use a given name. Our secretary at work was updating the staff rooster including name and title. I am the production supervisor of a facility that provides services for special needs adults. She could not remember my title so she jokingly entered it as "Ruler Of The Known Universe". She forgot to make the change and actually published it. Next thing I know, the Director (my boss) is standing at my office door. Whoops..... since then it has been R O T K U.
Well mine is my email name, but my real name is Kay, and besides all the half siblings i have who are all younger lol, between me and my full brother I'm the baby in the family. It seemed fitting.

Been kinda wanting to start some sort of thread myself where we might reveal a bit more about ourselves other than the fact that we're all vapers....kind of a "get to know you" thing.
Mine is because I like to think of myself as "intelligent" and I'm a "designer" of architecture and other things. It's also a spoof on the whole Intelligent Design controversy in the public school system.
Fortunately there are no other smart people who design things who beat me to the name. I got to lay claim to the name in accounts in multiple places.

My wife decided we were going to quit smoking while we were in Washington for The Dave Matthews Band concerts at The Gorge last Labor Day weekend. When I got back home I heard about ECF and started checking it out to learn more about vaping. We both started with Lotus brand e-cigs before we progressed to Provaris and yummy juice. 6 months without a cigarette tomorrow. Hey right on!
