Thank you very much! I went back to using the original pin, and I got the positive post back in place and secured. Then, I wrapped a new coil, but the ohm meter said it is 0.01 ohms or something crazy like that. I am so flustered at this point, I think I need to put this aside for a few days. I'll watch the video and come back to this when I'm able to think more clearly.

Thanks again Steamer!
Here's a good pic of the deck, you can see the plastic insulator under the gold + post :)

I think I am missing the positive post insulator. Would that cause me to get an atomizer short message?

Yes, maybe it fell out when you changed the pin? It has to be there or it will definitely not work :(

That makes me feel much better! At least I know what the problem is. I will do a search of the area around my desk when I get back home tomorrow night. If I can't find it, I'll just order another one. It's a good flavor tank. I wish they came with extra insulators.

@JustWondering1 apart from the insulator on the deck, you should have a grey insulator on the top and the bottom of the new 2mm pin you are changing out for the 3mm, just did mine and is working fine.

Only home for the weekend, so just did a quick build, flavor not really there and got a metallic ting to it, could be because I rushed cleaning it though, will play more with it when get back to my 2nd home Monday.

Looking forward to your review @Nailz when you've had proper time with it.

I'm glad you received yours while you are home! I'm sorry you aren't getting the good flavor. I just put mine in hot water and liquid dish washing soap for 30 minutes, let it dry on paper towels, built a kanthal coil for it, inserted KGD wick and filled it. The flavor was good from the first draw, but it got better and better the more I vaped.

It could be I didn't wash it well enough, or because not using my normal building supplies, all that is back in des moines, so found some old wire KGD out here, but I do like the draw on it, and apart from the top looking to big with drip tip, I do like the looks of it, if gets better, will sure be getting the other top cap for it :)

I was able to solve the wide bore drip tip issue by putting one of my 510 drip tips in the drip tip that is part of the standard top cap.

Yea I did that, just makes it a bit tall though, but will live with it for now :)

Hi, how is your wicking? I found the wicking is quiet challenging to get max flavor. To little cotton and its dryhit, to much cotton it will dryhit. For my exp the juice flow of taifun gt3 is much much better to handle 30/70 vg pg . The hussar vaping very good but for me its kinda to dry. I like vaping wet and warm. What is your exp?

So got back to my 'work' apartment, and stripped the hussar back down, and this time washed it with dish soap, and got to re-coil and re-wick with normal supplies, and it is a score

No more metallic flavor, the 1st time I did the coil upwards, leads under the coil, this time I switched it around, so coil is a lot close to the air hole, and the flavor is really good, I have got the 2mm air insert in, and is a perfect MTL vape for me, but I do like a airy draw though, but think with the 1.3mm insert, it would work well for those who like a really tight draw too.

@rifky the wicking I have found to be easy for me, am using 70vg 30pg juice, and I just cut the cotton long enough to sit on the deck, I do not push it down, just lay it on the deck above the juice holes, and had no dry hits, I do not even thin out the cotton, just seems to work, make sure your juice control is fully open.

Picture my build and wicking, 1.5ohm clapton coil, wicked with cotton bacon and vaping at 20 watts :)
