Took apart cleaned it added a bit of gorilla glue to the positive post let's see if that helps, went with a silica wick this time and wrapped it at three coils, hits good as you can see on vid

Got my jumbo 1/4 in audio jacks today. They are 5/8" diameter. the top hole is for heavy duty cable and the mega DC rubber tip fits it perfect. I got so excited I was tempted to stick a coil in it and plug it to a wired 1/4" plug. lol
