Slept poorly last night so I actually read through this thread.

I still don't see how the usage of chester copperpot fit in.

I googled chester copperpot.

I don't get it.

?

Just for the record I had to look up the word "Shill"....I knew the meaning but as I repeated the word to myself it began to sound odd and increasingly strange...then it just dissolved into gibberish altogether.....Perhaps I should have left it there ;)

I'm pretty certain he's talking about me. Another person has said the same thing about me before. I can assure everyone that I am not a shill for Provape...

How can you be the "shill" when I'm the "shill"...

No, I'm Spartacus! (the shill)...okay, not really. :p

oooo so I have my first real rba and my first mechanical. Kraken clone and Kylin mod. I have 1.1 ohm dual micros running on cotton. The kraken is sooooo easy to build. I'll be getting more. Its breaking in yet, but so far it blows my cotton microcoil t3s right out of the water. And its soooo small! The kraken/kylin together are about as big as my zmax

oh, also, provari

I just want there to be enough new vapers out there that realize they don't have to buy a Provari. They can buy a $40 mod that will perfrom just as well.
Uh, no. A mech will produce at most 4.1-4.2 volts, which will decline with the battery's state-of-charge. Hence a mech provides a considerably different vape on a freshly charged battery than on a battery that's in need of being re-charged. Moreover, a mech gives one zero ability to adjust voltage or power to suit whatever topper one might desire to use at the moment. A mech and a Provari are not at all comparable, and to say that a mech will "perform just as well" is bunk. Of course, there are loads (sub-ohm) that a mech can drive, which a Provari can't, but the opposite is also true -- try a 3.2 ohm carto on a mech and tell me how well it works on a mech, especially when that mech's battery is getting close to needing some charge.

An MVP is certainly more comparable. But to say that it performs "Just as well" is hyperbole. An MVP can only produce 3.3-5 volts, 3 amps, and 11 watts. A Provaru can produce 2.9-6V (a considerably wider range), 3.5 Amps, and around 15 watts. Yes, the MVP has other desirable features such as on-board charging, variable wattage, and a better user interface. I won't argue that the MVP is a tremendous value, but in the end, "performance" is about what comes out of the 510 connector and a Provari beats the MVP handily in that respect.

Note: I don't own a Provari and probably never will. I prefer DNA devices. But don't I suffer misinformation well.

I don't use a Provari, but...

I've been following this thread because they are on my radar for future gear purchase. At the last neighborhood Christmas party, I went out on the hosts deck to have a vape with the smokers. The previous year I would have been pretty much just stationed out there chain smoking ;) Well, something was dfferent this year. There was me and another vaper sitting with three smokers. So he and I got to talking. I had my Inferno with a Protank 2 on top, and he had an APV. I asked, why did you go with the Provari? He told me his vaping history, and he had been at it for a few years...I asked about dripping, and he laughed! He said" we used to call that tail piping when the mouthpiece would break off of our XXX's(I don't remember the device)" IIRC. He said basically, "I been there, and done that". He had his APV topped with a carto tank and was happy. He didn't push anything, he just said " I tried lot's of stuff, and tossed lot's of stuff, but this thing just works". It was his second unit because he wanted the upgrade. This kind of really got my attention.
I have seen a few posts myself where someone was having a problem with an APV, and a poster would drop in and say "get a Provari". I look at those posts with a different eye now than I did before. No device is going to be a panacea. Lot's of you old timers at this game have done a ton of homework and it's cool that it is so freely shared on a forum like this. People recommend what works for them, putting any emotional attachment via put downs or fanboyism doesn't really help anyone. But from what I have seen so far by this thread, Y'all play pretty nice together overall around these parts.
Oh, and BTW, I am getting a blem when I order my Provarinati ;)

One does not order a ProVarinati. One becomes one. :/wink

.....

I've seen some pretty out there statements. Like you can vape a tank at 10 watts calculated on a ProVari, but on other mods, 7 watts will provide burnt flavor. These types of statements are just plain inaccurate. There is nothing magical about the electricity that comes out of a Provari.

4.1 volts coming from a ProVari, will taste the same as 4.1 volts coming from a VV3, MVP2 or DNA 20 device.
Juices on my ProVari & Zmax at the SAME volts are very different so I'm not sure how you can ascertain they taste the same or even claim they're inaccurate statements.

Haha ... I'm Fergie on there as well. I bought an Nzonic III from Tek there, great service, wonderful forum. Lots of laughs.
Exactly what I would expect an Aussie Vapers shill to say...

Not sure how you came to that assumption Mr Edd. Care to share how you think I'm a shill?

Haven't you heard? Anyone who owns a ProVari, anything that looks like a ProVari, or has thought about owning a ProVari is now a shill. Unless you use Chinese devices or clones, then you are also a shill, (or a communist). We're all shills here.
:p

I see so it's a global thing now, good to know. Makes absolutely no sense but .......:vapor:

How about those with mods from the Philippines (Madz Modz) are they in some other category?

Can I get a shill exemption for being an anarchist, despite the fact that I own several ProVarii?

I am a member of the Pseudo-Intellectual Wannabe Anarchist (PIWA) group...look I have proof!

I thought about that, but the Greeks and Filipinos are not shills. Anything that you have to get on a waiting list to purchase makes you elitist scum, not a shill.

That's what I've heard anyways.

@the Lion. I sent your shill exemption paperwork to the Nazi tribunal. They denied your request and would like you to report to the nearest Stalag at your earliest convenience for...discussions...regarding ideological differences.
