I was wondering... Why use "they hold their value" as a selling point? I mean if everyone loves them so much, why do they sell them? Is it to buy a new one? And if it's it to buy a new one, what was wrong with the old one to want to sell it? And if there was nothing wrong with the old one, why sell it to get a new one? If selling it to get a different mod, doesn't that negate the argument of it being the best, buy selling it for something different?

I would think if that was the best, and a person had multiples, why would they want to sell the best backup they have and purchase something else?

And fudging magnets... How do they work?

It's a catch 22. As long as they keep making a simple, durable device, people will keep buying them. Point in case- the ProVape 1. Compared to the ProVari, it's even more hopelessly outdated, but there is still a market for it.

Because this is a discussion forum...We discuss. We debate. We trade ideas. We even disagree. Hell, sometimes we play devils advocate just to watch the sparks fly and enjoy some popcorn. You will never see me tell anyone NOT to buy a ProVari.....I take that back....If you are buying a ProVari merely as a backup to another ProVari, I think you are foolish. Now, if you are buying another ProVari Mini, or you like the paint job on a specific ProVari, then collect them like stamps. No worries. But if someone is buying a second ProVari to stick into a drawer collecting dust in case your primary ProVari fails....You need help.....

There was another thread in this forum where the OP asked about his $300.00 budget and I flat out told him it was hard NOT to recommend a ProVari. I even applauded his choice of Blue LED. They guy had the cash to spend and his equipment choices indicated that he would be very happy with a ProVari.

Of course being the shill that I am I had to offer the suggestion of an MVP 2 as a backup/out and about vape.

All I can tell anyone is my reasons for not buying one. They may not be valid to you or they may give you something to think about.

Even on meaningless "flame threads" you can get good information.

Baditude informed me why ProVape was sticking to the LED display instead of the sexier OLED displays seen on newer mods. That makes a ton of sense.

I guess my question is why do you care that I care.

Yes...I can be a blowhard, and post epic threads. That makes them all the easier to ignore.

Could be a number of reasons. Some people decide that they prefer to use a bottom feeding box mod like a Reo. The Reo has as large of a following as the Provari and costs nearly as much as a one.

Some have discovered they like mechanical mods more or are getting into sub-ohm coils. Many of the high end mechanicals and RBA's demand a higher price tag than a Provari, so they fund one with a Provari that they don't use so much any more.

Maybe they have more than one Provari and due to personal circumstances they just need the money. People can be in the middle of a financial crisis so they do what they have to do. People lose jobs (I was unemployed for over 3 months last year and exhausted my savings).

My 3100mah AW gets me by for a day, sometimes 1.5 on my provari. I'm usually vaping around 3.8-4 volts....and I'm chain vaping.

where do you get a 3100 mah battery??? I need one :

AW 3100mah? That would make it a protected battery.......I don't even know how you got one to fit in a Provari as the AW 3100 mah is much longer then a AW 2000mah IMR battery...

Provape clearly states on their website:
Batteries:
We recommend you use IMR high drain 18500 batteries or IMR high drain 18650 batteries with the optional
18650 adapter. This will give you the full range of voltages and the proper power needed to use the device.
IMR batteries are high drain/safer chemistry when operating a VV device..............
AW 2000mah IMR 18650
AW 1100mah IMR 18490
These are the correct batteries for a Provari.......

That is currently posted on the ProVape website, but actually, I received an back 3100 mah AW and clear spacer extension ring that used to be sold by ProVape when I bought a V1 ProVari from a member here on the classified section.

I didn't use either item, but apparently this used to be an acceptable battery workaround sold by ProVape.

I use the Panasonic CGR18650CH button-top batteries from RTDVapor as they seem to give me much better performance than the AW IMR batteries. YMMV.

I aint sellin' my Provari!!! I love my mechanicals, but the provari is here to stay!

Actually, until recently they were still listed on the ProVape website, along with the Trustfire 18650's they used to also sell.

RTD sells the same AW battery, but it isn't the button top version.

I agree with you though, an IMR chemistry battery is definitely a much better and safer choice.
