I aint sellin' my Provari!!! I love my mechanicals, but the provari is here to stay!
More than fair...Can we agree on Mr. Edd?
I never said they don't break. Of course they do. I support MVP's because they rival most VW mods for a fraction of the price.
I sure as hell am not part of any Innokin Army. I use mech's (yes, those cheap, dirty Chinese clones) and rda's more than anything these days. I think a Innokin gives the best value on the market though and would suggest their products to anyone. I also support Youde and hcigar. I guess I'm just not a patriot.
I did just that. traded off my provari for a zmax, a buzz pro and some cash. No interest in going back. The provari is a great unit yes, but would be great at about $40 less, not at its price. It has some flaws IMO that make other options more appealing
The Provarinati are not mysterious, only Legion. As for p.opus, this is far from the first time he has listed off the ProVari's "shortcomings." If he posts about them enough times, maybe ProVape will even listen.I do get tired of the fanboy attitude though. Those Provari/illuminati signature banners are tongue in cheek. You don't become part of some mysterious group that is remarkably more astute the minute you purchase a device, no matter how expensive it is. ...
...Lastly let me add that It does bother me somewhat when someone like p.opus or any other poster for that matter, makes decent, honest points with an absence of malice(as I saw it) and gets multiple folk trying to dress him down for it...Seems cliquish to me. To be Clear, I'm not attacking anyone who has posted to this thread. I'm simply saying how this feels to me...A relative newcomer to the forums...
The REO, and anything from Super T Manufacturing....
...So the provari was a great fit for me. If there are any other high quality, warranties, serviceable mods out there with a similar track record, and small form factor, I'd jump all over them too. But I don't know of any... If there are others I'm all ears!...
Some sold them because they had reached a point in their lives where they could give up vaping, some had financial troubles, some wanted a different color or size. A lot of older ProVari's hit the classifieds when the Stealth and Zombie ProVari's came out.I was wondering... Why use "they hold their value" as a selling point? I mean if everyone loves them so much, why do they sell them? Is it to buy a new one? And if it's it to buy a new one, what was wrong with the old one to want to sell it? And if there was nothing wrong with the old one, why sell it to get a new one? If selling it to get a different MOD, doesn't that negate the argument of it being the best, buy selling it for something different?
I would think if that was the best, and a person had multiples, why would they want to sell the best backup they have and purchase something else?
Totally agree (but if someone uses more than one e-juice, it's acceptable to have a ProV for each flavor, right?)....You will never see me tell anyone NOT to buy a ProVari.....I take that back....If you are buying a ProVari merely as a backup to another ProVari, I think you are foolish. Now, if you are buying another ProVari Mini, or you like the paint job on a specific ProVari, then collect them like stamps. No worries. But if someone is buying a second ProVari to stick into a drawer collecting dust in case your primary ProVari fails....You need help.....
That's why you have a ProVari in your Avatar pic, right?Heresy! I love my ProVape-1s...
NO YOU DONT
AW 3100mah? That would make it a protected battery.......I don't even know how you got one to fit in a Provari as the AW 3100 mah is much longer then a AW 2000mah IMR battery...
Provape clearly states on their website:
Batteries:
We recommend you use IMR high drain 18500 batteries or IMR high drain 18650 batteries with the optional
18650 adapter. This will give you the full range of voltages and the proper power needed to use the device.
IMR batteries are high drain/safer chemistry when operating a VV device..............
AW 2000mah IMR 18650
AW 1100mah IMR 18490
These are the correct batteries for a Provari.......
Totally agree (but if someone uses more than one e-juice, it's acceptable to have a ProV for each flavor, right?).
but; that's only because I still have six months warranty left on my Lavatube (2nd replacement to date)Not a bash on them, just a fact.
I like threads like this one because, as a relatively new Vaper (7/11/13 I started and didn't look back), I am overwhelmed by the amount of info out there. Threads like this one are fun to read through, and take what I need from them. Both pro and con posts give alternate things to look at, look up, and consider, all in one easy to find place.
In the end I just want something that works, and lasts or is repairable. I'll probably wind up with a Provari at some point though, because it sounds like a good fit for my needs.
And to think I was swapping tanks....what was I thinking???!!!?? (LOL)
The pin on the cartos were fine and worked on every other mod that own. Only on the MVP did they not make an electrical connection. The center pin on the MVP is too loose and can be too easily pushed in with a normal connector on any juice attachment. You can't adjust the pin on the cartomizer? You have to pull the pin on the mod? Madness. Do those cartomizers last forever or are they disposable?
Can we agree on Mr. Edd?
The prov is a nice battery holder that would make a great starter device for a noob.It just needs to be priced in the $40-50 range where it belongs.
