Depressing. This is really looking more and more like the old Soviet Bloc.

Ed Rendell too? Your governor? I used to like him.

Oh well, November is just around the corner, folks.

Long live Arnold, he just vetoed the bill that would prohibit smoking in state parks and beaches. Said too much government intrusion in people's lives.

Arnold for president!!!

How great is that. . . I suppose part of it is Arnold wasn't born in the States. . but it seems like he's one of the very few "in the ranks" that hasn't lost sight of a huge part of what America is (or maybe was) all about.

I'm kinda ballsy in that I vape around people without thinking twice. BUT I have to admit, a few people have .....ed. When that happens, I make a conscious effort to keep my Irish in check and keep the peace. I just put it away and don't argue. It's frustrating, I know- you want people to understand. We're the minority for now. Just keep spreading the good word! I believe it'll catch on some day, and acceptance will be possible. Maybe not in the immediate future, but some day. Better not to stir the pot with negative 'publicity' that might develop from an encounter with the ignorant/fearful.

You can thank the organization Smoke-free Pennsylvania for that. They run a website where they encourage people to "report violators" to big brother....so they can be fined and black-balled. The idea has caught on in many areas. Restaurant owners would rather not deal with the smoke nazis when some idiot in the place sneaks off, hides in the bathroom and reports the sinsiter violation so that justice will be done. Naturally....that same idiot is unaware of what e-cigs are....they are simply trained to see puffy clouds and stick a cell phone in their ear.

Then they list the place on their website hall of shame.....

SmokeFree Restaurants of Southwestern Pennsylvania

Nice people.....huh?

Who? The only one I know, exept for Rendell, is that ..... Bill Godshall.

Bill Godshall has been a driving force in keeping ecigs from being banned and exempt from the indoor smoking bans. He has supported our efforts and opened doors for defending our right to vape. He supports ecigs and vapers 100% and was the only anti-tobacco member to attend Vapefest and wrote a press release about it supporting vaping. Most of the advocates you know who work tirelessly to keep vaping legal owe a debt of gratitude to Bill Godshall for his support and guidence in our fight against the FDA, ALA and the rest. Some respect is due.

Just saying.

...and he runs a fascist report-your-neighbor website. When he takes it down....I will respect him....

Yeah, funny how Arnold is too liberal for many conservatives here, and too conservative for many liberals. Many people don't know what to make of him.

Besides his recent decisions on smoking and vaping, helpful ones for us, he just reversed his prior approval of off-shore drilling in the central coast. I didn't vote for him, but I'm certainly enjoying his unpredictable, independent steak these days. Maybe he's a closet vaper.

I was using my e-cig in a bar.

For anyone who isn't aware, Pennsylvania changed their laws where you can't smoke in a bar that sells food. Or to clarify, they're % of business has to be more food than alcohol. Then you can't smoke inside the establishment.....but I digress.

SO, I was watching the playoffs and was told by the manager to take it outside. I was ordering food and drinking beer and spending MY hard earned money.....I guess that was okay. Like the greasy, heart clogging food and alcohol was healthier for me....

I pulled out one of my handy cards to prove to him that it was nothing but water vapor, but I was told to take it outside or be kicked out. WTH?

Never going back there. But I don't get it. I wasn't smoking. I'm thinking that he would think others would think I was actually smoking and start lighting up. But, still. Not my problem.

Felt discriminated against. :(

I agree that it sucks but I stealth vape when I am inside, nobody ever knows ;) I have just started and people look at me all crazy. I just had them a V4L card and smile. Not inside of course, I figure they will get educated on them by the card or curious enough to try vapeing if they smoke now. Hang in there :D
