What PV's or ecigs do you have at the moment? I think you have a pink eGo-T? What else?

Edit: Oops, sorry Dotma. I've just reread the thread again and I see that it wasn't you who said they were skint. It was orachel. Both of you were talking about the Darwin, so I got confused...

Get a Provari then if you like it and can afford it. It is wonderful. I'm happy with mine, but I still want the Lava Tube for more rough and ready use.

Everything points to that Madvapes vv box mod as an EXCELLENT starter vv pv.
I don't have one yet, but that's where I'll be wetting my feet in the high voltage vv experience. The key word there was YET, though I'm also hankering for a Gold Rush tube that can run 3.7, 6, or 7.2. (It's shiny, I have a weakness for shiny.)

Americano for "skint" is broke. ;-)
I was married to a bloke from Birmingham for a while, though I try not to judge other Brits by the actions of that absolute NUTTER, so I speak/understand a good deal of the Queen's english.> LOL

I love mine. It's so worth it. By the way, I also ordered a Gold rush Tube Mod, but it arrived not working :(.

Dont take this the wrong way but I laugh whenever I see someone say they can not afford to pay $200 on a quality PV. How much did you spend on cigarettes in a month? Most likely if you were at least a pack a day smoker, you spent more than that in a month on cigs. I will say, the provari to me has been one of my best investments in a long time. I spent the extra $24 to get the 2 year warranty. dotma, with the provari, or the darwin, you will no longer need to worry about if something is HV or not. Once you go Variable, the talk of HV goes out the window. With a variable device you can reach all the voltages you would need.
Ultimately what it all boils down to though is what wattage you are vaping at. You can do the math on a provari or you can just dial in the wattage with the darwin and later the kick when it comes available. Most peoples sweet spot is around 8-9.5 watts. If they are using a dual coil cartomizer then people tend to go all the way up past the 12 watt range.

Skyway, I totally see what you are saying and it is very true, I was spending probably $300 a month on the nasties. I guess it's just hard for me to justify spending that much for myself on one item, because you still have to buy juices and this and that. Maybe if they would let me pay for it $10 a day instead of all at once lol.

The Darwin is the most advanced VV imo .You cant beat power regulated . The thing i dont like about the provari is that it can only handle like 12w . Sometimes i like to vape at up to almost 18w on some juices .This is why i like to make my own VV mods . Nobody mentioned smokteks varicool box mod which is also cheap and powerful .

This has been an interesting thread to read... Having been through several dozen PVs in a year and a half, and experiencing all of the high end variables and regulated mods I can honestly say the higher priced offerings are worth the investment.

And to those that seek cheap alternatives to proven performers, I have one question:

If you can't muster up the funds to do it RIGHT, where will you ever find the money to do it AGAIN when the cheapie fails to get The job done?

Str8 -- wish i was talented enough to make something myself!
Hey dotma. How are you? Of course you can! Madvapes has the ready made VV Box Mod for about $35 (like my decorated one) and the DIY VV kit for R18. There are pretty clear instructions on their site on how to put it together.

oh man, you guys are so funny! And here I was under the assumption that once I got a mod i would be all set and all happy for the rest of my life amen. And then y'all tell me thats not so. my husband constantly wants to know why anybody needs more than one e cig period??

Truthfully. . .nobody NEEDS more than one e cig period. It's my "Wifey" syndrone. She's totally controlled by her "feelings". I said great, cept, you never know how the hell you're gonna FEEL in the morning. After 42 years of marital bliss, that's the difference tween men and women. Flame away, but I doubt I'll change my mind.

Cheers,

This is going to get off topic a bit but where in Spokane are the ecig shops??? Any with some good juice?? I am 2 1/2 hours away in a small town in Montana and sometimes the USPS doesn't cut it!!!! I go to shop in Spokane about twice a month and would not hesitate to go if I was outta juice or attys!!! I have had my ProVari a little over a week and love it. You can use any atty or carto or tank with it, it's easy to fill and use. I am pretty new to vaping and I fingered it out.

Don't be RIDICULOUS!!!! Honestly, some men don't know a darn thing :p. I NEED ALL my many ecigs. Each and every one of them. They all serve a purpose, they come in different colors and sizes and shapes and flavors to suit my current mood (and a possible mood I may be in sometime in the future - or not...)! Just lke I need hundreds of outfits and may sometimes still find nothing to wear. I don't have anough. I NEED more.

EDIT: P.S.
Maybe your wife should teach you a lesson and serve you exactly the same meal, day in and day out. On exactly the same plate with exactly the same portion size and NO variation of flavor...
