The only entitlement thinking I've seen is people thinking small business is entitled to charge higher prices as well as consumers thinking they are entitled to spend their hard earned cash as they see fit...both are right...and it works out as it works out...
Someone deciding for someone else what someone needs or don't need is is purely one's own personal opinion and is given all the consideration it deserves....
I cant afford a high priced mod so I have to buy a clone copy or fake is the very definition of entitlement. There are mods to be had that are not clones copys and or fakes that are affordable.

and thank you giving my opinion your consideration.

I dont mind the e-cig clones as much as i do with other products. MANY of the e-cig products all come from the same factory and then branded by another company. Look at the location of the big factories. Almost all of them are in the same area or factory in Shenzen <sp> China.

I despise Chinese clones of my rifle scopes which i depend on when im on a $1000 hunt and miles from getting a replacement.

Now, if i say i want a REAL Kanger Pro Tank and coils, i want a REAL Kanger Pro Tank and coils. I would be angry if i received a clone. Ive seen a few places advertise they sell a Vision product and its not made or sold by Vision. I ran into this at a local B&M selling a mini pro tank look a like. Its actually made by Sinrow and sold by various brands such as JomoTech.

I have a X8 tank and i have no idea if its a real Kamry but after some research ALL X8s had the same NEW description. "Now it only comes with one set screw". This is even on the Kamry and the clones ive seen for sale online.

Bottom line some Chinese e-cig clones are the same product as the "REAL THING" but they may have tighter quality control depending on brand which sells them. Some are made with just slightly different specs including just color or packaging. Some use a better battery ect ect.

I've seen that with the Vamo....my understanding is that they are produced by several Chinese manufacturers...mine is stainless (I think it was KDS made model) and came virtually flawless...well made and solid...some of my friends bought them and they have fit and finish issues and are kind of junky. All I can think is that they were made in a different factory to different tolerances that affect the quality...

Meant no disrespect for You in responding. Just that everyone has their own opinions, desires, needs and PERSONAL ideas on just about everything in life.
That is the Nice thing - the Variety we ALL bring to the Table.

Everyone Please think before Posting. We pretty much know what is acceptable and what will get the big DELETE BUTTON. Give the mods a break.:)

my first mod was a sigelei zmax v3 telescoping flattop. bought the whole kit for $70. tell me the American made mod similar to that one that I can buy now, never mind then? other than the overpriced provari and every other limited run, always out-of-stock, way to expensive high-end mod name the American made mod like my sigelei(which I enjoy, still) and I will buy it. otherwise , leave me alone to enjoy a nice vape.... I would buy only clones if that's what it took to keep me off cigs.....
My first mod was a Vamo. Yup. Made in China. But I bought it from a US vendor. I'm not saying people should buy only stuff that's MADE in America, I just prefer to buy things that are SOLD here.

I bought my Vamo from an American vendor as well...most of my stuff was bought from American vendors...I will continue to do so unless they are priced WAY above foreign vendors...and if they are, I like having the option of buying elsewhere at a more reasonable price.

Making clones with branding, logos and all the identifiers in place is not a ... very nice thing to do. Other than that I don't care too much. I don't believe it's hurting anyones business as part of the reason some buy expensive gear is to have expensive gear.

I want a good product at a reasonable price. If I can have that in a nice-looking reasonably priced item that is not a clone of something else, I'd prefer that over a clone. I don't mind paying for quality and durability, and I'm not screaming for everything to be as cheap as possible.

I honestly find the idea of clones less offensive than charging $100++ for an RBA with a plastic tank... or ~$15 for a replacement tank section. Polycarbonate tanks are something I'd expect trom.. well... a clone. Not a high-end atty.

Sure it dose you dont agree with it, but dismissing it dose not make it any less of a valid point.

I do disagree...clearly....its only a valid point till it reaches the end of his wallet....its much more of an entitled opinion to think that high priced manufacturers should be the only option for a consumer and if you cant afford that, you should go without...because some guy I never met says so...I'm not saying I'm entitled to anything except to buy whatever I choose to that is out there available at the time with my hard earned money...

I'm ENTITLED to spend my money with whom I choose!! This whole conversation, and the dozen that preceded it, is kind of pointless. It's like Chevy VS. Ford in that there is no right or wrong but only personal opinions.

The word "legit" is pretty comical to me.

Hmmm....I don't think that I've ever seen a "More People Should Buy Clones" thread.....

Now you are putting your opinion in to what I said. I did not say only high priced manufacturing is the only thing that should be available. I said there are affordable mods that are not copys, clones or fakes.

Actually, it was started as more of "I only buy American stuff and here's why" thread...I don't recall anyone saying anyone should buy clones...just that they do...and why...

Chevy vs Ford isn't really applicable...they are both American models....Hyundai vs Chevy or BMW vs Cadillac would be a better comparison....just sayin...

Ive seen at least 3 brands labeled Vamo and i check the boxes at the B&Ms. Its my understanding they are all pretty much made at the same place but the build specs differ depending on which supplier ordered them from the REAL manufacturer. The name Vamo has become a generic term for the style and much less about the actual brand.

When i buy a Leupold scope though, it better be a real Leupold Made in USA or im gunna get nasty about it. The quality difference is night and day plus i dont get the lifetime warranty. I guess i would feel cheated if i wanted a real Joyetech product but got a knock off also, although not to the same degree as i do about a Chinese FAKE of a USA made product.
