I've been on and off and vaping has definitely came a long way. I went through the cart mods, 510's, 808's, ego-ts, Ce2's, ce4's bottom feeders. I can't say I have been completely faithful as most of you. Although every month or so I was back in the forum seeing what the new trend and improvements in the ecig industry was at the time. As in the early days the frustration of vaping wanted to make me smoke so I would be cursing the leaking cracked clearo with a cigarette puffing away. I know I'm a bad person lol. I'm so appreciative of the new tanks and variable wattage and finally able to find a consistent vape that keeps me away from the analogs. There really isn't a reason for someone now not to be able to find a vape that suits with all the available options that they have now.
Oh god the chuck vs SB wars *shudders* that got seriously annoying.

when the flashlight mod was made! (if anyone can remember the name you get +2 internets today) I want to say it held a 14500
the altoids mod
the passthrough scare of 09 (not sure if anyone really remembers this)

when kanger came on the scene (ok not that long ago)
the discovery of cotton wickingg
the discovery of SS mesh wicking

-my first clearomizer (eGo-W),
-seeing a mod for the first time (held by a vaper in the wild),
-considering a switch to cartomizers because they performed the best back then,
-the vivi nova era and all its tweaks and imperfections (I stuck with kanger T2),
-the first eGo twist,
-introduction of bottom coil clearomizers,
-The vamo v1 spring issues (though never experienced it).

Just got back in after a few years off. We still have some blue foam and white fiber. I just tossed a box full of tips and attys. We have chargers marked 510 and 901. Dead batteries and questionable juices. My wife spent a lot of time in this forum but I wasn't interested then. Things are sooooo much easier now.

I'm actually sort of glad in some ways that I didn't pick up my first one until 5 years later
If anybody could name that possible brand of hers, I'd be curious...

Wondering how all 11 drops from a leaky Ego T could make such a massive mess.
Spending half a day making a tool to dig in said Ego T...only to make it go from not working to leaking like crazy.
Wondering why a pair of Ego T atties cost more than a whole new vape kit.
Trying to explain to a nosy local pharmacist why I need a dozen 3ml BD syringes and a bottle of PG.
Five dollar drip tips (each) that turned cloudy.
Discovering the effects of a Cinnamon Bomb eLiquid on a Clearomizer.
Cutting up syringes to make bigger cinnamon proof tanks.
Discovering the 801 and wondering why on earth it didn't sell better since it actually worked pretty well out of the box.
Seeing, "Get A REO or Get A Provari" in every thread.
Long threads of people calling a 3.3v product a 'fail' because it tasted 'burnt' when hit at 7 volts.

I remember having to tweak, mod, adjust every piece of gear you bought. Change the wicking, filler, adapters for proper threading, replacing O-rings, removing / adding silicone gaskets, cutting or drilling something for proper air and/or juice flow, etc....

I've seen those tan mouthpieces on the cartridges of one of the old pen-styles (DSE 801, RN 4072, BE 112, or Joye 302). I don't remember which one/ones. It's been too long.
BTW, cigalikes are not pen-styles, the 801 is a pen-style!
ETA: I know I've seen the 901 with those tan drip-tips? But, surely the 901 wasn't around yet in 2007. Or, was it?

It was 6+ years ago, and I wish I could have gotten a better/closer look, especially knowing what I know now, LOL.. Was the 1st time I ever saw one, and she was fairly quick & discreet with it
But it could have been anything that you listed.. I don't recall seeing exactly what the tip looked like, just that it was tan like a cig filter, with the rest being white & in a simliar size & shape as an analog
It was the vapor that caught me off guard, since I didn't really know about e-cigs at the time.. The closest I ever personally had prior to that was some of these...
