Darn, I was going to say something about that but forgot...

--I remember when the Zero Filler mod made people start thinking about delivery systems without wicking material
--I remember when the first "clearomizers" were being developed by people using modified syringes

Ditto- the first "clearomizers came on the market.
- the KR808D v 510
- how to clean, rebuild and re use your cartomizers
- no liquid sales (at ALL) anywhere in my state- only option was "pre filled" carto mizers
- "Soon to be available in Menthol" !!

my own success rate? back then I was able to skip every other analog for sucking like a hoover on a KR808D to hold me over, and hoping the battery would last a work day.

Cheers

Reading this is great. I don't remember all of that but I do know thanks to everyone on here it made my transition from cigarettes to vaping easy. Thanks to people posting about their mistakes and what they learned it helped me be a success. My only regret is not listening earlier. I would have saved a lot of money and time. If so much has changed in the past years can you just imagine what will be next!

I remember drip tips!!! They were rated on how well the hole in the center would be able to deliver the drops of juice to your atomizer. Now everything is about the material they are made of, shape and length.... I would hazard a guess that most drip tips in circulation today have never been used for dripping....

That's funny cause I remember back when....about a couple of hours ago when I got home and I had been saving this just for friday night cause I am awesome and have no life....anyways I remember how...

I just opened up my Ikenvape order I got the other day tonight and the first thing I did was unwrap a new i06 atty and drip tip to see how well the tip really dripped.... :2cool:

Happy Vaping :toast:

when the PIF offer changed every few minutes.

I used to sit in PIF for hours and hours and (with a guilty look) hours!!! I got to try so many different juices that way!!! And, because of PIF, I didn't mind buying stuff I wasn't sure of because I could trade it out in PIF!!!!

I remeber getting my first cig-a-like kit at a flea market after checking every smoke shop in town. The filters had foil on one end, and the battery had a piece of sharp bent metal that you had to jab through it. The tobbacco ones tasted like dirty, burnt honey. The strawberry ones tasted like failure and floral soap.

I remember getting my first screw together cig-a-like and it tasting just as bad...

Are they still selling that crap or did you have to create a new account?

What an awesome trip down memory lane!! I love this thread, wish in would have found it sooner.

I'm only up to post #121, & will continue reading tomorrow, but want to share how it took me almost a year of lurking before signing up and posting, because the place seemed so huge lol. I camped over on a smaller forum, the one I found via YouTube via an ecig google search. Chris & Sean doing reviews on the little Joye 510.

I remember the lovely tantalizing Silver Bullet porn videos, complete with sexy music.

I remember how our eyes popped as we drooled over the first wild & beautiful drip tips brought to us by Nhaler, the twisted drip tips. It was a splurge to get one lol.

I remember all the T-bag try's, even how excited we got when places started selling "kits"

In short, I remember everything posters have posted so far, and just love this thread! Thanks for the fun trip guys.

Haven't posted in a long while so this thread brought back a lot of memories about how determined I was to make this work back when I started with a smokestik(RN 4081) ,intellicig(m401) and a 510 in a short period of time.
Thinking back it was work, the constant fiddling and filling of carts, charging of batteries, modding carts, cartomizers, CE2's(revision after revision)
Vaping today is so much easier and have people at work asking questions and starting Vaping successfully is fun to watch, teaching a few how to rebuild protank coils and DIY their own liquid now.
Wife loves her BCC clearomizer and has finally quit smoking. Vaping has reached a point that the hardware is easy for her to get to work.
Vaping has evolved at a breakneck pace and I believe that this is due to the manufactures keeping a close eye on the posts from our members to help evolve their designs.
Kudos to those that started out early, and recently, to Vaping that tinker with what comes available to improve the Vaping experience, and for sharing their ideas.

All the best,
Wing

I'd love to hear stories from the veterans about how they found out about vaping way back when vaping was brand new and practically unheard of. How did you all even find out about it? And what were the juices like back then? Has there been an evolution in juice as well?

Well, I might not be as old as some on here, but in just the past two years, things have changed a ton! Juice is constantly better, the performance of ecigs in general are far superior, and things are cheaper! I spent 40 bucks on my first gas station kit. Today I see them for 10 bucks, blows my mind. Even the gas station versions are somewhat decent now! As for the juice, when I started there was decent juices, but most were sub-par, the good ones were hard to find. As for how I found out about ecigs, I bought one in a tobacco store, was frustrated and found ECF. A kind member of ECF sent me a package with a 510 Riva kit and a few samples of "good" juice. Changed my life, and I will never be able to thank her enough. (looking at you, stretchpants). As for other things I remember, Using blue aquarium foam to try and get my attys to feed better, My first introduction to a LR carto, How ever single atty I bought had that god awful priming juice (that I find less and less often now and days).

huh? If you're asking if that was a previous user name, then no. I've always been degnr8 (degenrerate for those who can't figure out how to pronounce it)

Haha, I could've written that better.. but you figured out what I was asking:) I was looking back at my old thread subscriptions and saw that the Wizard thread was started by someone called "charged."

I remember the Chuck family thread, everyone keeping each other company as they awaited their number to come up. Great thread!!

I remember ScottB(Bee?), and his creative modding mind, intelligent posts, remodeled sailboat, and House avatar. He disappeared one day, to spend more time on his boat, I hope he's ok.

I still have the pass through for my Silver Bullet. Never did use it lol.

My member number is #31,653 and it gets harder, not easier, to keep track of all the abbreviations, gadgets, & concepts. The newbies always amaze me with their (haha, Hairball, good one!) singles want adds chatter. Say what? But life is nice with the RBA's. So the other stuff can fly right over my head all it wants. :)

Until a newbie asks me what they should get...
So I say Vision Spinner & a Kanger T3 or evod or protank2 ... And hope I'm close.
