Sometime will somebody *please* put me out of my misery and explain what a tea bag had to do with vaping?! The mind boggles... TIA
The juice would go inside the cartridge, and the cartridge had filler material to hold onto the juice.
The filler material would touch the atomizer bridge, thereby transferring the juice to the bridge, which would transfer to the atomizer coils.

The filler material needs to hold juice without leaking, but also work as a wick to bring juice to the bridge.
The battle was to find the ideal material that would not leave a lot of juice in your cartridge, and also not cause leaking.

Pyramid tea bags are little bags made of very fine mesh material, maybe nylon?
They had good capillary action, but also held the juice well.

Are you sure you really-really want to know

We would take the foam out of the cart, and then fold up an empty Lipton tea bag to use as the filler in the cart.

So ya see ..... it really was all about the price of tea in China.

I remember rushing down to the Grocery Store when the PTB Mod came out. Only to get Caught in the Tea Aisle opening a Box of Tea and Measuring it with a Ruler.

This Lady Thought I was Crazy and Called the Manager.

Can't even guess a count of kio$k ripoff po$t$ that populated the ECF forums back then. Fortunately, those have dropped off dramatically!

Yeah for ECF and our pioneers!!!

I wasn't here in the Beginning, but I lurked for about 6 Months before I joined.

Back then, you would kinda go "Oh, there is a New Member. Someone I have never Seen Before." when someone Joined. LOL

BTW - Try sliding the slider to advance thru the Months/Years. There are Some Hilarious threads to click on.

Yeah... Remember all those Revision Changes? A Classic Example at each change of 2 Steps Forward and 3 Steps Back.

If I remember correctly, they either added the silicone o-ring in the top or deleted it and said it was fixed...which it wasn't...hence the next version. When the vendors brought it to their attention, the CEO got really nasty and started bashing us over it...LOL.

That would be Martinez.

He Definitely had Anger Issues. I got Back-Balled from www.e-Liquid.con for posting pictures about the "Mystery Fluid" than came on some of the E2/CE2 Wicks.

Good Times.

BTW - It's Very Nice to see you Again. You gave me a Lot of Help, as well as helping Countless Others, when I first got Serious about using an e-Cigarette.

I've said it Before but I'll say it Again, Thank You hairball for All the Help.

That would be the guy...couldn't remember his name. What a jerk!

You're welcome zoiDman...you've done your fair share of helping me and others as well so a thank you to you too.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I still love old school vaping...3ohm boge in a carto tank on a VV Saber Touch...2ohm on a mech. Plain and simple to use is still what I prefer.

I remember,
Having to ask WTH a Chuck was!
The 6v vs. 7.2v wars.
Spending one night a week cleaning out cartomizer's.
Spending another night the same week, after they'd dried, filling carto's.
Being so happy I could get four hours out of my MM AND being able to drop it and have it still work!
Having Skype chat's with Leoford while he was in China trying to fix QC problems.
Being a Provert on the V4L chat board!
