Both equally gross. My condolences.
A left winger in Croatia isn't exactly the same thing as an American Democrat. Think anti Facist, anti NATO, with anti-communist leanings who support gay rights.

...unless they are a Croatian ex-pat living in the US. Then they are a tree hugging hippie.

Are we REALLY arguing the difference between Republicrats and Democins here? Seriously?

The only real difference between the two parties is which freedoms they want to curtail first. I don't believe our freedoms need any curtailing: we should be able to put whatever we wish into our bodies, defend ourselves in whatever manner we wish, marry whomever we love. Both parties have a track record of being against freedom, in one form or another

I'm a Brit living in the US and just having 2 parties is a joke!!... it's a shared/Joint monopoly bought by corporations and they are as bad as each other...As to ECF and foreign policy here is a reminder of the US foreign polices

I don't think ECF's post is targeting ECF members who have strong political views or support for one party or the other. What the post accomplishes is getting the attention of people who may not normally vote or don't normally care about other issues but MAY care about this one issue. If this post can get the attention of THOSE folks and get them to vote out a candidate (regardless of party affiliation) based on their opposition of THR and e-cigarettes, it could send a strong message to other candidates that this is not an issue to take lightly and they better do some REAL research on the topic or it may mean their job. It also makes the vaping community look strong and united. Those are good goals to have.

Put simply, if you have strong political affiliations and positions, the message wasn't intended for you, so vote how you feel right. But if you normally don't bother to vote and/or don't have strong opinions on other issues but do about vaping, consider voting against an anti-vaping candidate in ANY of the elections this year (rather than staying home and not voting at all.)

I consider this sentiment to be so wrong.

If you have enough mental capability to be reading this thread, you have the capability to educate yourself on the social and economic issues of our world. It is your civic duty to be knowledgeable enough about a broad range of issues and to properly prioritize your interests to vote intelligently.

I love to vape. I don't want vaping to be regulated out of existence. But the vaping issue alone is hardly a sole reason to place a vote.

Baby... bathwater... ya know.

But she is not referencing this thread, started by you, so your argument falls flat.
I have no problem with ECF promoting candidates, keep up the good work !!!

For some it is. I looked at the reps website to see what she has been involved in. To me, underwhelming. I don;t see anything on her list that would make me want to vote for her. Using that as a basis, I would see that she is against vaping. That would give me a reason not to vote for her. Of course I would do the same for the other sides.

I hate to tell you. In the Obama vs McCain election there where many of my republican friends that voted him on just one issue which varied. Some wanted to vote for the first African American President. Others voted because they wanted a change. Other voted for him because they felt McCain was too old. I personally thought it was sad that it was a one issue vote, but people are free to vote however they want for whatever reasons they want. Maybe someone doesn't care that she lobbied for elder adults and issue when they fall. My 84 year old grandfather fell from a 3rd story house fixing his window. Ultimately lead to his death. Maybe the vaping stance she has will sway them a different way. Gotta say at least she is stating it like it is instead of the political sidestepping.

It is really sad the way our political system has changed over the years. Billions spent for an election. Negative adds everywhere... candidates not expressing how they will vote on issues because it may hurt their election. I like the 2 party system because it should keep in check the other side. I do not want to become part of a fiefdom.

Anti-communist may push things a bit too far. The love of Tito goes beyond party lines.

I dress to the left, I vote to the left. One aspect of my life won't change my views.

Would it that it was only one issue. That pocket knife in your avatar photo would be illegal for you to have in your pocket in 5 States and at least 40 cities.... just sayin'.

And to the point I made before: If your chosen representatives are among those attacking vaping, it's up to you to let them know you oppose their position. You have to tell them that you voted for them - you have to tell them you oppose their position - you have to apply pressure in any way you can to change their position on important issues up to and including running against them yourself or choosing a better candidate to primary them. That's how US politics is supposed to work. - When they are simply allowed to do whatever they want (I won't even get in to the rampant lawlessness evident today), then they tend to do whatever they want. Whose fault is that? Theirs or yours?

I guess I am one of the many Ignorant voters in this country. I can not remember the last time I went to the polls to vote For Anything. I go to vote Against. Sad to say but entirely true. So, I find myself voting for the Least Ugly Dog in the fight.

And you should be proud of that too. Most are too lazy to do anything at all and claim it doesn't make a difference, others believe in nothing are for nothing and understand nothing.

Voting is your only say so everybody get out there.

Remember, liberals are supposed to vote only on Wednesdays. :)
