I promise you I didnt just look at one site - really I was quite safe :)
I have a degree in science ( 2 actually lol), I made sure I researched it properly. I do however, agree that having looked more closely at the neti pot it seems a much better delivery device.

Yeah, it's so much more simple. They also make the ones that are a bottle and you squeeze it into your nostrils, but I like the flow of the neti...you can control it quite easily by how far you tip your head. Also, seems like the bottle one would be hard to use all the water..once you get towards the bottom of the bottle..I dunno tho, never used one of those. I also like the premade packets of stuff. They dissolve very quickly, and if you get the water just warm enough so that you can't feel it with your fingers, you can't even hardly feel it in your nose.

I think I can handle an 'odd sensation'. Probably only odd at first, anyway. Hey, once you have to have your sinuses irrigated by an ENT (rubber hosing is involved), you tend to think you can handle pretty much everything else.

I got my Neti pot at Walgreens, along with the premeasured packets.

I have absolutely no excuses for not at least trying it. Well, except for the odd sensation, that is....:)

I don't seem to have a problem tasting food, and I haven't noticed having a constant taste of anything; I just can't get no dang flavor from these juices, or when I do, it's not a pleasant flavor (TV tobacco, Halo Freedom). I really think it's my pv, since I tried the 'nasty' tobacco in my husband's 401 and it tasted perfectly fine; really nice, actually. (I like tobacco flavors !) And it's not just the atty, since I swap mine around a couple times a week.
What I do have is a very poor sense of smell (thanks, analogs !)

Good idea, let's keep this thread going and see if we can get to the bottom of this. One day I lowered my nic from 24mg to about 15mg and it seemed to help. I should have stuck with that for a few days to see, but ... well, ya' know? What nic levels do you use and have you tried lowering it on these days?

I also get a burning sensation in my mouth that can be quite annoying. A friend sent me some Halo Menthol Ice to try and that takes the burning away almost immediately, but I can't go without my flavors! As soon as I go back to the flavored vape the burning starts up again.

I'm going to try and start noticing if there's a difference with different nic levels, but off the top of my head, I'd say no. I use different juices all day, some 24 mg, some 10, some 0.

Best and Kat - have either of you noticed your tongue feels 'coated'?
I smoke a few all VG juices, and a lot of the rest are mixed with VG, and I'm starting to wonder if that isn't contributing to this 'lack of taste' thing.
I know its mainly my nose (have to get taht neti pot when I head off to the store..sigh), but I'm also starting to question the VG ingredient. I brushed my tongue last night (I do that at times while doing teeth, helps with the fresh mouth feel) and this morning I could taste a bit better. Maybe its not connected, just coincidence, but it set me to wondering...
VG does tend to leave my mouth feeling slightly oily (only its not oily, but thats the closest description I can come up with) , was wondering if you guys use mainly VG too.

I have crappo sinuses, so you know I love love love my neti pot!!!!! easy to use, but scary that first time, haha...I use Himalayan sea salt, it's wonderful to get all that gunk out of there!! If you aren't sure about how to do it, there are vids on you tube to show you. it helps to use a mirror at first so you can see what angle works best for you.

I'm convinced the flavor thing is also related to hydration. I know it is for me, when I'm dehydrated I can't taste as well.

I probably shouldn't put it this way, but I'm something of a 'juice-.....' ;)...I've bought them every-which-way, from various vendors, US made, Chinese made, All PG, No PG, etc. I think that most of the time, I'm probably vaping something like a 80/20 mix.
I have not noticed any kind of coating as yet, but now I'm going to try to pay a little more attention and see.

Thanks, Buttercrunch, the hydration issue is something to think about.

I might try my Neti pot tomorrow, if I can work up the courage ! I've seen the videos, and it looks pretty easy.
