Okay! Im finally home from disneyworld after missing the delivery of my setup by one day! I just unpacked my virgin vapor kit, everything is much more solid and beautiful then I imagined.

I charged my ego twist it blinked red and green so I figured it was half charged? I waited till it turned a steady green then attached it to my tank. Which I figured out how to fill while waiting for the light to turn green. I googled it and tried watching a video on utube but after 3 vids, they werent answering my questions (how high to fill, is there such a thing as too high?)., but of course I found the how tos here in ecf. Yes there is such a thing as too high. So I filled it to .5ml I though i got a 3.5ml tank funny my printing slip doesnt say it just says viv tank. The tank lines go up to 2.8 and there is more room to go but no notch lines so, maybe its a 3.5 and Im only supposed to fill to 2.8 and its marked out for me.

I let the threads get wet but I bet I was supposed to steep it and I didnt (too eager) So I filled it scrwed it on to charged green battery - clicked it 5xs waited for blink and then pressed the button inhaled and WOH, this blows away all those cheap disposables. I get it, its nice.

I am not quite sure what volt I am using - how does one know? I dont see anything on the battery to indicate it to me?

Also, I feel like when I put it on its side its gonna leah so I have it resting on a paper towel - am I just paranoid? Do yall rest yours on the side?

I see the little 510s I ordered too. I am guessing I fill them to test out my mocha juice, I am guessing I just put a few drops in and screw that onto the batt too, I guess I will google that later - it looks so small compared to my tank!

Im also going to need a tank cover I think they are called because its so nice looking but I dont like the gap between the tank and the battery.

Also - does anyone know what the other things are that come in the box with the tank - i think its just 2 replacement heads, and I ordered 1 extra too, so I think I have three, they all look the same to me anyway so I am guessing what thats what they are.

But the volt thing----how do I know what volt I am using??? And how would I adjust it?? Also does the battery shut off? Or do I need to press it 5xs to shut it off??

Im all fuzzy headed from the sweet vapor high, so I cant google any more info, Im happy with what I am already vaping!!!

yay me. day 12 without analogs btw. :)

Could be the atomizers- just attach to battery, drip 2 drops and vape to test juices.

Those are the extra heads (wick+coil)- when your head needs replacing just unscrew old head and put in new head.

There's a dial on the end of battery with very small numbers. You don't need to shut it off unless you have it in your pocket or purse and it may accidentally activate.

Congrats and it sounds like you're in vape heaven

OK I just tried twisting the silver cap now that I see the engraving but its not moving, I dont want to break it! So if someone can explain it or I can google it as I am sure you have explained athousand times to us new dumbasses! :)

Thanks vapor eyes for all your help. This is truly a great set up and indeed so SO much nicer then those awful disposables. I vaped throughout disney and was suprised to see how many europeans had ecigs, all throughout the park. they all looked to be using disposables though, I didnt see anyone using a PV or I woulda sprang on them! I also am SO suprised not to see an ecig store at any of the airports. now THAT would be a great money maker.

Hey, MelissAnnH. Welcome to ECF. Got a friend who also started vaping the same time I did. He posted his PV in some social networking site then some people were like "Why not just quit entirely instead of using that?". Just pisses me off a bit. People who don't know anything about PVs and just start spewing crap about it. Don't worry though, you got the entire forum to support you in the switch to vaping. Good luck!

It's ok. Just remove the tanks and clean the battery connection and the tank connection. Because it's a manual the battery is sealed so there is less (not none) chance of damage to battery.

Okay Mr Rogers was right! I had to turn the opposite way! Even though it was set to its lowest. I read how to fill the 510 and thought i followed it but then it leaked all down on to the battery, i only put enough into wet the threads but ??? it leaked. Maybe I overfilled it?! Im thinking I just dump some out?

So glad everything's going so well except for a couple of hiccups.

So are you now ready to "spread the word"?
Have a great weekend and enjoy your Twist.

"What I did was color the sides of the base with a black sharpie. I let it dry and wiped off the excess. The chrome spots wiped right off and the black stayed on the letters. Here are the results."

G'Day Meliss, You sure covered a lot there. :) I have been vaping for about 3 mths and like u was reluctant to have a tank hanging out of my mouth at the start. I researched on Youtube and ended up looking at the range at Smokeless Image. I like their EJuices and I like the manual battery. I started with 18 mg nic and am now down to 6mg but have graduated to cartomizers CE4 @ Smokeless Image and Phoenix from GotVapes. Find with these I can really get the nic level down and be happy. I am also now looking at a USB passthru and have an eGO T battery as well which lasts longer. There are some great videos on Youtube. Good luck with your endeavour. Frankly now don't think I could smoke a cig now and as a retired nurse that is a big move for me!! Cheers and enjoy the vaping.

This is my first post to the forum and I would like to say "Thank you Mellissa for starting this thread!" this has been the best quick start I have read so far and your questions have been spot on to someone like myself as well. Vapoor Eyes, your clear articulation has been a godsend to me and after reading this thread over a week ago I jumped in and ordered the same rig you described. It arrived while I was away on a business trip so at this moment batteries are charging.

While on my most recent business trip I tried out the Blu disposables and found them to be acceptable. Even my co-workers were supportive of my change from analogs to the vaporizors, down to even inviting me to use it during some of our extended work sessions they didn't want to stop due to the progress we were making, ( i wasn't ready to make that step though as odd as it may seem). I also wasn't ready to break one out in the Houston airport during the stupidly long trip home.

This afternoon, I hope to try out the Ego Twist and Viva Nova tank.

The Very Best of Luck to You Lew. I find threads such as Melissa's also very enlightening and, more importantly, inspiring. To actually be in involved in a thread like this one is most certainly a high point of my membership here at ECF. Whenever I find myself posting in a thread such as this I have always wondered how many lurkers are following along and benefitted from ALL that is posted and I also wonder after the thread has ended how many new Vapers stumble across these threads and also gleam something from them. So glad it worked out for Melissa and also thankful it helped with your choice Lew. Great also see your co-workers are so supportive and understanding....makes a big difference in having those around us supporting our new healthier lifestyle.
Have a GREAT weekend, Dan.
