21st Century Smoke?

Thanks in advance for any help. I am thinking about buying the 21st Century Smoke starter kit, but it's only $40 and that kind of worries me. It seems like it's the most popular one I’ve seen in stores, but why is it so cheap. I did not realize that this E-Cig was so complicated, after browsing this forum for about an hour I'm more confused then before I entered. The TH (my first E-Cig acronym) seems like an important thing to me. I didn’t realize it before reading this forum but I think that is the main thing I’ve missed (along with hand mouth fixation) during my past attempts at quitting. I really want this to work the first time I try it, I’ve tried quitting numerous times patches, anti-depressants, gum, even tried switching to suns, what an idiot! I have two young children and cannot have them see me fail again. Is the 21st Century Smoke a good starter kit? I know I need to commit to quitting (analogs) mainly I want to know does work, is it known for breaking?

The EGO Kits are very reliable and even as a vapor with a large collection of Mods, I still use my Ego when Im at the casino or anywhere I need a light weight Mod to put in my shirt pocket. I have 7 different Egos...2 that have 18650 batteries but they are a bit large, and 5 regular size egos. Many vendors sell the Ego kits, there are several different typ ego kits as well. One of the vendors on this forum altsmoke.com has a good ego kit, I have bought 3 kits from them, I dont care for the tank Ego kits, but many people do like them...anyway, its a good place to start looking. You Tube has lots of videos and reviews about ecigs also.

I won a 21st century smoke stick. Its a nice little thing. I plan to use it when I air travel. I keep it in my "to go" kit at all times, in case whatever Riva I take out with me has an issue. But if I could go back in time, I would have started with a Riva. The kit cost a total of $34 shipped, from Liberty-Flights.com It consistently meters at 3.7V, making any need for a mod unnecessary. And its no bigger than a regular cigarette, just a tad wider and heavier.

I have a 21st Century kit. I don't like it. I only used it when I abosuletly couldn't have a cigarette and desperately needed it. I don't have much experience with e-cigs yet. So I can't compare them to others. I did buy it with high hopes of maybe being able to quite, but that quickly turned into, "will use when I can't have anything else."

I have ordered a Joye eGo from Liberty Flights. I'll soon be able to compare.

If you're talking about this one, The Best Electronic Cigarettes from 21st Century Smoke - CB Distributors, Inc. you'll come to learn it's not cheap at all! (in terms of price)

It's not horrible, but it's not great either. Actually I'm pretty grateful for it cause it got me off the cigs. I picked up one of the disposables at circle k. (The disposable was pretty bad-no vapor) That led me start researching ecigs-which I had never heard of before. I found ecf, read a bunch, was totally confused, read some more, and said F-it I'm just gonna order something! So I ordered a kr808, a 510, and an ego. Problem was, I ordered it all on a friday night and because of a holiday weekend my order wouldn't get here till Tuesday. I happened upon a review by (I think) pbusardo on youtube for the 21st century. His was different than the one I had. It had an atomizer and produced tons of vapor compared to the disposable I had. His review of it was lousy-but obviously it was smokeable. I really didn't want to smoke analogs while waiting for my order so I ran down to circle K and found the $40 rechargable kit. It was 10x better than the disposable and it kept me off the analogs until my order arrived. Hey I would have spent 40 on a carton if I hadn't bought it right? Funny thing was, I wasn't trying to quit smoking. I loved smoking! I just happened to stumble upon the ecig in that store and discovered there was an alternative that wouldn't kill me. Once I knew that, I wanted to switch immediately.

Fast forward to a month later-now that I have my original order plus some other stuff I've bought, I never touch the 21st century one. I have much better flavor and vapor from the others. I'm not getting rid of it though. For one thing, that little kit represents a milestone in my life, and second it will be my backup should something ever wipe out my other 4 models all at once.

If you're looking to quit RIGHT NOW-then buy it. If you can wait a few days, order something better from the forum suppliers. Also, there is something with a similar name called 21st century smoking, but the 21st century smoke that I linked above is the one I used.

That's almost exactly what happened with me! I find it so incredible that something so small can make such a HUGE change in my life with hardly any effort what so ever!

I'm still on my little cheap e cig til my hubby says it's ok to spend the moolah on a "real" kit. (I want the Magma-t)

Welcome, a good place to start is the ECF Library, do a little reading then you'll have an idea of what your looking for. The best place get stuff is the suppliers listed on the main forum page, folks here have been dealing with them since the start. It's gonna cost a few dollars and some testing stuff out before you find what you really like, just have fun doing it and don't be a stranger around here.

I didn't know there were two very similar companies. I used this one: Buy Electronic Cigarettes | Smoke Free cigarettes | Electronic Cig | Tobacco Free Cigarettes | Quit Smoking | Electronic Cigarettes

I have quite a bit of experience with this brand and the disposable kicks my craving great; however the starter kits are not going to get you of off analogs. They are 3 pcs "meaning cartridges go over the atomizer" the carts are no good. I have been vaping since March 2010 and have spent a ton of money resreaching ecigs, I would really recommend getting cartomizers until you get the hang of things. here are some great suppliers to start with, Smokeless Image, EliteVapors, VaporSmiths they have a killer deal going on right now.

You seem more concerned with it actually working than it being exactly cig sized. I'd strongly recommend the Riva 510 kit from liberty-flights.com, its $30. It's a little bigger than a cig but much better battery but not by much. The riva has about three times the battery life and seems more consistent throughout using it.

I'd also recommend picking up the 15 pack of Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers from crystalclearvaping.com for $20 and free shipping. It comes with drip tips and a syringe (I don't use a syringe to fill mine but plenty of people do).

With this combo you can try dripping onto the atomizer (driptips from the CCV pack and atomizer from the riva kit), cartridges (people dislike them generally but they come with the riva kit), and cartomizers. It's a good setup and gives you options. I happen to prefer cartomizers but I know alot of people that only drip.

Get some juice from several trusted juice suppliers and find something that works for you. I'd recommend getting sampler packs, you *will* find flavors you won't like, and you'll be glad you didn't pickup 30ml of it before even trying it.

*EDIT*

Be sure to click the 20% discount button in the top left of liberty flights.
