hey guys, i'm just curious on points of view. so i just reached my six month date on quitting smoking, but i was thinking about it, and i vape all the time. i take my first puff when i wake up, vape on my way to work, vape in my office, vape on my way home, etc. i'm wondering if it i vape too much. i used to have a smoke when i woke up. one in the car on the way to work. one on my break. and one on the way home. i just feel like i vape a lot more than i smoked, and i am wondering if this could be problematic due to the convenience of it. any thoughts? thanks.

What does your body tell you? Do you feel more or less healthy now as compared to when you smoked analogs?

Most of us tend to agree that vaping is at least 100 times better for your than smoking, so I'd assume that you could vape at least 100x as much.

But really, common sense and preliminarily research tends to agree that vaping is far and away safer than smoking. There haven't been any peer-reviewed major studies that I know of yet, though.

there are no extensive studies proving one way or another technically that vaping is really harmless, but there is no real chemicals with carcinogens, and there are people here that have been doing this for years. its more than likely much better than smoking but noone here can tell you its harmless, its up to you to decide that really at this moment in time...

+1 best advice is your own....listen to your body very carefully over the next few years...It is a crucial time for all of us, this is very new and the effects of cigarettes were not known for 50 years, so it should go without saying, don't ignore anything you feel. we have a Health, Safety, and E-Smoking section where we can discuss any thing we may suspect or feel at any time.

There are many doctors on this forum, believe me when I say they care, if for no other reason than.. they vape too..but its more than that..

You will feel better when you stop smoking, but thats because you stopped a caustic habit, don't let this miss lead you.. Pay attention and you should be fine...

Drewdav, try something and see if it helps out a bit. Just to swell your head with knowledge...the nicotine in tobacco smoke has been treated with chemicals to be faster absorbing than natural nicotine. Chemically altered, like crack is altered powdered product. Ammonia turns nicotine into a freebase molecule so it is absorbed right away...and goes straight to the brain.

The nicotine in vapor isn't altered like that. You're just getting the natural nicotine. In vapor, it's absorbed mostly in the mucous membrane, mouth/nose/throat....while with smoke it's mostly in the lung.

Try blowing out your hits through your nose...it will cross more of the mucous membranes, allowing for more absorption.

You might not be getting the same amount of nicotine you were used to with tobacco....so you're using it more.

<--------------Check the custom title!

I vape nearly all the time, just like you do! It doesn't bother me and I feel great!

How wonderful is that we can now vape in our offices at work? I vape openly at work and no one has ever said anything to me! There are four other people in my office, one is a smoker. Another coworker told me that she'd rather smell whatever I'm vaping over the smokers stale smoke smell. That made me feel good! Now if I could just get the smoker to make the switch...

I went from smoking a half a pack on the weekends to using .5 to 1.5 ml of juice most nights. As far as I can tell I have not had any negative impact. I do occasionally think I should stop but am enjoying it too much to do so.

On a side note I have seen that smokes have way more nic than even my 24mg juice. I smoked one to compare nicotine delivery and it about knocked me over.

Just to update this post....I couldn't find the page I was thinking of, but here's a connection if anyone is interested in further research.

No surprise, but they've been messing with us addicts for years. Hooking us harder....killing us quicker....and charging us more.

LINKIE

Well of course they charge us more as they kill us faster! They have to make up for the lost sales at the latter end of our lives they're losing

I definitely believe there's other chemicals in regular cigs that make you feel lightheaded, and whatever else you may feel from smoking one for the first time in a while.
I am pretty sure that the lightheaded thing is from carbon monoxide.

Also, if you are uncomfortable vaping so much, you could up your nicotine strength maybe.
What strength are you using, and how many of what kind of cigarettes did you smoke?
