on a learning curve for sure after starting to vape. I do know that my 510's are nice but we go through them fairly quickly. Found one of our problems is using the automatic batteries and leaking juice. Evidentally manual is the way to go. Thinking the Ego twist is the direction we are going to head

I just ordered an ego-c. I have no real clue what i ordered, i just tried to make okay decisions.... i hope i like it.

Until that arrives i guess i will be supplementing my Blu's with disposables.... i swear i could two-puff one of these blu batteries through a charge.

I had a solid 2 pack a day habit.... tried quitting many times (every time i quit i would end up smoking more). Vaping has changed my life, and i only started a week ago.

I am still having fairly awesome/severe side effects from quitting smoking (body is definitely purging nasty stuff) (well almost quit so far, i think if this Blu had some more guts to it i would never smoke again ).

So long story short; if anyone thinks the ego-c is totally wrong for me, let me know.... i'm not against making another order for something else. I'm willing to spend to kick this nasty 'analog' cigarette addiction.

BTW: when are we going to sue the tobacco companies?
BTW: I've heard of people wanting to ban e-cigs.... imo, it would be far better to ban real cigs. With these as a viable alternative, i actually wish real cigs were banned (and THAT is something i NEVER would have typed a week ago).

Just noticed you are a fellow Marylander. Welcome! If you are anywhere near Baltimore there is a local vape shop that is open on the weekends at the Northpoint flea market, which I think is in Essex.

Home

I've only bought juices from them (which were ok at best) but the lady running it seemed very knowledgeable and was handing out freebies to her regular customers. Have two friends that bought their kits there and are happy. It just really helps to actually see it all!!

I will check it out.

I am in Glen Dirty... so it's not very far away.

Realize the Ego- C fires at 3.3 volts. Also if you ordered the atomizer/ cartridge system realize theye are problematic with leaking. If I had known you were willing to purchase a larger sized PV I would've suggested the Kgo. Comes off the charger and at 4.2 volts and fires at 3.7 Volts and for a full stater kit $40- $50.00. Also lottsa Labor Day Vendor sales right now. The Ego will be an improvement over the Blu though so no biggie.
Good Luck.

I've went with Smokeless Immage. So far loving them. Being a smoker at heart (pack a day for almost 20 years) I just use the standard 65mm batt and 1 charge lasts me a bit over a day (being used just like a cig: get a craving, take 4-10 puffs, then set down till next craving). SI sells pre filled cartos too. Every pre filled flavor the have, they also sell juice for. Buying juice and refilling your cartos is the only way to go if you know you only want to use cartos, you'll save a ton of money over just buying and pitching them...

A little late, but here's a couple pictures of Blu cartridges fitting "natively" (no adapters) on an eGo battery and on a ProVari.

edit: Both batteries definitely have more POWER! than the dinky Blu batteries :)

Good Luck.

I'm not really sure what that means. I am assuming that voltage determines throat hit... and or amount of vapor + temp of vapor.

I ordered:
Joye eGo-C XXL 1000mAh Starter Kit
low resistance type-a
*edit
it has: battery, base, head, cone, cartridge.
So i guess this is a 'cartridge' style...?...
end_edit*

i thought it would be nice to be able to replace the atomizer (which i'm assuming is the heating element?) fairly easily, and it "looks" like this would be fairly easy to refill.

It said something in the reviews about some leaks occurring but cured with a silicone thingy that i also ordered.

I'm guessing this device is going to be fairly large. The size of a full size cigar is my guess, and considerable weight to it.
So i have a mini-ecig (blu) which i imagine will always be nice for incognito vaping. I have a big one on the way (ego-c), which i will probably mostly use when driving or at home (i don't want to stand out in a crowd, i'm a private person). So i am still in the market for a mid-size.... the kgo looks to be as big as the ego-c, is it?

Get a smokeless image volt. They are having a great sale right now, 22% off. The batteries last 3x longer than the blu. The cartos are much cheaper at $8.95 a pack and there is also a 15% off coupon when the current sale is over so you will never pay more than $7.60 a pack. The cartos are refillable up to about 30 times and it's very easy to do. It costs about 30-40 cents to refill them.

Here's a video on the smokeless image volt. It goes over everything you need to know.

The original poster already put his order in for the Ego C kit.

I made my best pitch to encourage him to get the Smokeless Image X2's, as he was willing to go with a cigar-sized device.

Maybe the Ego C kit will be ok, I'm not familiar with them myself.

I'd sure like for him to cancel that order and go with Smokeless Image, tho. I think they're exactly what he described he wanted. Longer battery time, pre-filled disposable cartridges, one stop shopping with a single reputable dealer. Holiday weekend discount pricing.

More voltage= better hit.
Most that enjoy the cartridge/ atomizer are the ones that recently ordered- they eventually upgrade to a diff delivery system. The atomizers also have to be cleaned regularly. You requested simplicity and the Kgo is just a better device- I have used both Kgo and Ego and there is a noticeable diff. Having said that if your cartridge/ atty system is not "simplistic" or leaks you only need upgrade the delivery parts- Cartomizers/ Clearomizers. The Ego and the Kgo are about the same size...like a sharpie pen.
Sorry but at the cottage on IPhone and connection intermittent.
The Ego will be a HUGE improvement over the Blu and I was only trying to get you the best PV at a reasonable price with the least hassle operation wise.

I agree, atomizers are not the way to go if "simple" and newbee proof is a requirement.
My Kgo kit came with atomizer / cartrages and they were used just once before I switched to cartomizers.
I suggest adding some cartomizers and juice and learn how to re-fil cartomizers or buy prefilled if simple is what he wants.

Hi all!

I like my Blu, for the most part.

I can see it isn't going to last me forever though. I want something slightly larger.

I love my ego - and it vapes so much better than the blu ever did. I finally feel I might be able to quit anaolog, could never say that with the blu. The ego is not expensive either

What i want:
a) cartomizer (is that right?) that i just unscrew, trash, screw on a new one.
b) i want easy
c) initial cost of the device is fairly unimportant. Cheaper refills would be nice though....
d)i don't want to mix things, or whatever, i just want to vape.
e)my blu e-cig seems a little tuff to draw through
f) i had started with a few disposable e-cigs, they were the size of a small cigar, that seemed ideal to me.
g)i don't want to fuss with it, i want to vape, i want to stop smoking 'analogs' 100% (having 2 a day now, well i start 2 then say yuck and toss)
h)i can see that i might get a big fancy vaping tool some day, but for now i want simple.
i) i want better battery life than my standard blu
j) i was just about to buy a blu 100 premium kit, but i thought i would ask here first.

Suggestions?

Thanks
I like my ego and it vapes in a way that blu never did for me. I always wanted to smoke after using the blu - not so with the ego and it isn't expensive

i would suggest an ego battery and low resistance 306 atomizer with a drip tip. throw in a bottle of your favorite e liquid and your good to go. Some people dont like dripping since you have to keep adding drops but 1 refill will last you about as long as an analog, nd you dont have to worry about buying new carts or getting that burnt taste you get from the filler.

I have the eGo Twist which came with some of the C style tanks. I haven't had a problem with leaking yet, but I just started using them. I'm wondering if successive uses make them more prone to leaking. They just pop on and off and the hole leading into the atomizer seems like it may start to leak with wear.

They are very easy to fill and, as you say, the little atomizer coils are replaceable. I've used them for trying out some of my new flavors. I don't get as nice of a draw as I do on the Vision Stardust I have. I'm using VG juice which is thicker, so for all I know that might impede things a bit. They also make a little whistling noise which is slightly annoying. And the tip isn't as comfortable as the rounded mouthpiece on the Stardust.

I also have some Mini Vivi Novas on order. They have replaceable heads, so it seemed like it could be a nice system. Both the Stardust and the Mini Vivi Nova are a good match in diameter for the eGo 510 batteries, which I like. I don't think I'll be ordering more of the C system tanks, but you may like them better than I do. One really nice thing about them is they do look quite smart with the unit. There's a cone that covers the tank. The whole assembly looks quite sleek.
