I keep reading all of these 'testimonies' about how easy it is to make the switch, so I have hope. I've been a slave to analogs for 20yrs, but it has been an intimate 20yrs. What I mean is that I have always had a strong relationship with smoking. First thing in the morning, last thing at night, & every possible moment in between (& some moments that were MADE possible). Long story short, I have come down from 2pks to 1pk a day... and 2 weeks ago down to 7 a day!
Tremendous for me (I am an easy going guy with zero temper, but since then I've been snapping at the silliest things). I immediately got online to buy a battery, atomizer, and carts from vol*ano (I had some moderate success with using them in between analogs a few yrs back), but their website was down, so I wandered for hours and landed on here. I am SO glad I did. My $100 is now eagerly waiting for a new owner (along with as much as is needed for me to make the switch)!! I am now glued to these pages and their DEEP catalog of info. So much to learn - these things are nothing like the e cigs that I'm used to, so much has advanced in the 2yrs since I first got mine.
While I am waiting, may I ask a couple of questions? First - what brand or co. or mix of juice is close to a newport light (to make the transition easier)? I have only tried a handful of carts, not cartomizers, carts & to be honest they all taste like mint, not menthol. Any ideas? I want to completely make the switch, so is 3ml enough to get a 7-10/day analog smoker through the day, or will I need the 6ml option? Also, can these batteries (14500s, 18650s, etc) be charged on a good AA battery charger? They appear to be about the same size, but the voltage differs a lot. I am currently answering my own questions about the atomizer options & VV as I read ECF on other open windows, but there's a lot. I don't know enough about this stuff yet, so I apologize if any of these are dumb questions.
P.S. - Demon, it looks like you were about a pack and a half a day prisoner, may I ask how many ml's you go through? Do you use one of these bottom feeders, or something different completely? I am asking because I really don't have much money, so I want to be sure to get the right device for me the first time around (well, second), I can't afford to jump from model to model.
