I picked up two iattys and one of them seems to have a persistent leak out of the battery connector. I removed the wick and wires and cleaned the delrin pieces and checked if there were any hanging pieces of plastic around the threads from machining. Everything looks clean. So I proceeded to assemble everything together but did not put a wick and wire, screwed everything tight and filled it with some water. It leaked like crazy, just wondering if this is normal or do I somehow have gotten defective delrin pieces

Mine seems to have a slow leak, but not every time... very confusing. Yesterday was a leaky day, all day had issues, this morning the tank had dumped overnight.

Here's the strange thing, there was juice outside the tank, on the top (cap) even... but my iAtty is on my Provari and was sitting straight up all night.

Without a wick it will leak like crazy because you have two large holes that juice pass through now unobstructed. It will also leak some if you use a wick smaller in diameter than the one the iAtty came with.

It can leak like this if the cone is open too much. I use 100% PG and keep my cone totally closed and it vapes great even at HV. The only reason IMO to have the cone open is if you are vaping some thick (VG 50/50 or greater) juice at HV.

I'll try with it closed... I do vape 50/50, but right now not at HV (taste for this juice comes out better lower).

ainako, putting water in the Iatty or in any mod it will leak like crazy. Water is very very thin.

Putting water without a wick will leak like crazy because if there is no wick the water will come via slots inside ceramic and then to the center pole in 1 second

If you want to check leakage, open the refilling cap, put off the cone and put liquid 1mm before the 2 cuts of the ceramic. Leave it like this for 15 mins:)

Haven't set up my iAtty yet, but after reading a lot about diff setups, o-rings etc I'd like to ask:
Is it supposed to have 2 identical small rings, or 2 diff ones?!
What is the best way to put it together and ensure no leaks?!
Is it your video mate, and a lot of people has misinterpretated it or somehow there's a better way to put it together?!
Thank you

You have 2 different o-rings Aldo. One small that goes first on the ceramic and one bigger that goes after. Leakage is not from o-rings but from small pieces of plastic that left from the machining. Please remove them. If you have a hard time to put the small o-ring to the ceramic then put it on a toothpick, put the toothpick inside the hole of the ceramic and slip the o-ring to the ceramic
