Right now I have a 4.1 Ohm coil at 6.4 volts, vapor production is massive, but I think a touch more heat might make it perfect. Next coil I am going to make is going to be 3.8, 3.9 Ohms. It's so cool to be able to tweak it. I can't wait for VV with Iatty and GGTS :w00t::w00t::w00t:

I CAN'T WAIT!!! BRING ON THE VV!!!

Iaswni, higher ohm is more wire (or thinner wire) which is more surface area to vaporize liquid. But you have to consider wattage. Watts are how hot your coil is getting. Lower ohms equals higher watts at the same voltage. Too low a resistance and too much power will just burn your juice. Too high an resistance for too little voltage and the coil can't get hot enough to vaporize the juice.

I know now at 6.4volts I like a atty somewhere between 3.5 and 4 now :)

Rick good morning my friend, I am a little bit confused.. I thought that the lower the resistance the more the vapor, am I wrong?

I'm also at 6 volts right now as I don't have alternatives and I've tried 1,6 and using 2,2 now but I didn't notice any significant difference. Could you shed some light for the noob

Rick is absolutely right iaswni.

I see that you vape 2,2 ohm at 6 volts with Iatty. Its not a bad combination at all because wick is very fat and can handle big volts even if the resistance is too low. I vape often this setup when I want a very big hit but you have to keep the cone as open as possible to not burn the juice.

Looking at this i have used a 1.3ohm on about 4.1v (10.6watts) with no issues the wick the iatty uses is like a sponge it wicks so well i have also used a 2 ohm @ 6v and a 3.1 at 7v all with no wicking issues.
One thing i will add is make sure you get those coils tight around the wick as this maybe causing some of the leaking your experiencing due to how well it wicks i've not had a leak from mine yet nor any juice in the mouth

I make some experiments with silica rope. Its very good until now. I used this rope in the earlier days. It had a smell so I rejeched but I think it was from the storage on the factory because the inner fibers didnt have that smell, only the outer ones.

Also the E2 wick is coming. I will order some silica too to check the differences but I think the E2 is what we want.

I use a hollow silica rope 2 mm thick, have to add together it 4 times, but it showed very good results especially in the VHV
Ordered from the factory 12 different types and thicknesses, I think that is thicker and filled silica rope will give better results.

On the subject of thread:
The best results for me at 3.7v gives twisted coil 1.5-1.8 ohm
and at 7.4 v 4.5 ohm

Maybe you can send me a little of every kind Ko? E.g. 10cm? I always try to find a better wick but I think that E2 is what we need

I will be glad to help.
As soon as I get samples from the factory, I'll PM you.

What do you mean E2? the wick from CE2?
I took out the wick from ver.5, silica rope is better, stronger and it does not taste sweet to me.

Thank you very much Ko!:)

silica works better than E2 wick? I dont mean the fat one they put on latest models but the thinner one that they used in earlier days. Have you tried that?

If we talking about the same wick, then yes. Silica rope better saturated and better gives liquid(feels good on VHV), a little stronger and it frays less of cone threads.
Do you have a picture of E2 wick, to see how it looks? Then I could say for sure do I tried it or not
