Had a fun night tonight. Went to dinner with my mother, daughter, grandson and future son-in-law. SIL is teaching my grandson thai/laos. It is so funny to hear a three year old speak a second language. We went to Ali-Thai and ate till we couldn't eat any more. My grandson is even able to eat with chopsticks! Barely-but the food made it to his mouth.

that's awesome tina!!!!! i got some bad news today... my great grandmother (she's 91) passed out yesterday b/c of the heat, she was taken to the hospital and they said that her heart was skipping beats so they kept her overnight. she was discharged today but we were told that it's only a matter of time...she's not sick or anything, just old age. she lives in south carolina, and with the crazy hot summers they get who knows what else will happen. I'm so glad that your mother was well enough to go out to eat!! that's really great news!!

So sorry to hear about your great grandmother. The heart is a very dangerous thing as we age. Mom was doing good. Went for a catheterization to look at her heart and not good news. Friday morning she goes in for a triple bypass and aortic valve replacement.
We always thought her tiredness was due to other issues, boy was everyone wrong. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Aww Tina, I really do think everything's gonna be alright. It just sounds scary, the procedure isn't that no where near as bad. Here's excerpt from googling. "triple bypass, now a days at least, a fairly common procedure. Chances are, the surgeon has done hundreds of these, and the risk is minimized."
Regardless though we're with you in the deepest thoughts hun.

Surgery is over-she has a pigs valve and the rerouting 3x looks to be good. They will let her start waking up in the next hour. Thanks for the good vibes. So wierd-my ex had the same surgery with the same surgeon back in November! He is already back at life.

Tina,

My thoughts are with you and hoping everything progresses well.

Haha he is?! What are the odds of that!
Aww I'm so glad everything went through with flying colors Tina. I'm sure she'll do the same with the rest of the trials easily. She sounds like a tough woman, wonder where she gets that from?

Well one down, next one to go!

I just want to thank Iken for all of his support on my recent problems. This is what true customer service is all about. He goes way beyond what would be expected.

I will definitely put him at the top of my list of suppliers.

Thanks You So Much
Aw Martha, Thank you so very much!! You are too kind and again, it's a great pleasure to have met you! The circumstances could be without, but still in an odd sense worth it. :D

Sorry I'm late with this Tina, I haven't been around much in the last week. I'm so happy your mother is doing well and will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It is amazing what they can do with the heart now days. My daughter was taken from my arms at 3 weeks old, put in an ICU unit at Children's Medical Center and scheduled for emergency open heart surgery. She had a blocked aorta and a bicuspid (has two flaps instead of 3) aortic valve with a rip in it. They removed the section of aorta that was bad and patched it with a section of artery from her arm, then went in and repaired the rip in the valve. She still has a bicuspid valve and one day may have to have it replaced, but she's 21 now and has never had another problem since that surgery. She has no activity restrictions on her since she was 3 and was even a dancer for a good many years until injuries forced her to give it up. She's in college studying to be a vet and has now taken up rock climbing. That was a long time ago so I can only imagine the advances they have made since. It sounds like your mother is in great hands.

Please keep up posted on her progress. Blessings to you.

WWay!! good to see you again!! awww... i can't believe that your daughter had to have that done at such a young age!! That's great though that she's doing well and has had no other problems from it! Here's hoping that she has many more years of no problems!!!
