Recommended batteries depend on your coil resistance. Flat or button top will affect how far you have to push the firing pin to get a vape. When i read IMR and 2500mAh - i think of something like Panasonics, which are 10A batteries.

They are fine down to about 0.5 Ω coils, and that leaves a litle headroom for catastrophic failure :)

My usual procedure is to open the package and put on my magnifying headset and inspect everything for microscopic damage, boil wash it all, along with my atty and then take photos in case i lose it fill the bottle, put an atty on top, whack a battery in it and vape myself stupid!

will go look for your thread.......welcome!! come visit us in the Reo lounge too. Great place full of friendly folks! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/626726-reo-lounge-part-v-212.html#post15538842

see below

what he said........plus.......just like Oreos, you need at least one for each hand!!

A Reo is basically dripping from the bottom up. To say it's a very high quality mech mod is an understatement. Built in the US by the man with the porky avi. You need a bottom feed RBA and rather than drip every few vapes, you mash a bottle (squonking) located inside the mod to feed juice up through the bottom of the atty to wet the coils and wick. No need to fool with tanks that break etc, your "tank" is now a 6ml plastic bottle.

Thank you Debadoo, I understand now... I think :D

Second question: What should I do with my Reo upon opening the package? Should I inspect for anything in particular (NOT to doubt Rob's craftsmanship!!) Is there a "breaking in" period? Any certain order of procedure for inserting battery, building coil/wick, and attaching RDA onto the device?
...

The one pre-use thing you should do is cut an inverted "V" in the bottom of the feed tube, to keep it from suctioning to the side or bottom of the bottle. Then, as said, fill er up, slap your atty on there, give it a good squonk, and make SURE the fire button isn't in the locked position. At that point, find a nice comfy spot to sit down, you're in for a RIDE and a HALF.

After you come out of the ensuing nic coma, and once you're finally able to actually set it down for a while, you can work on the mandatory pictures :)

Is there a consensus as to which Reomizer is the best? I know that sort of thing is subjective but I'm gonna go ahead and order a REO and I'm trying to decide on which atty to include. I searched this forum for posts about it but the opinions seem pretty divided. I'm more after flavor than clouds but I still want a reasonable amount of vapor as well. I had the RM4 in the cart but now I'm thinking maybe the 3 is a better buy. Seems more gear toward flavor although most comments suggest to drill out the airhole and I've never done that. Don't want to ruin my first BF atty. Oh and another question while I'm at it, what's the deal with button mashing?
Can't speak for everybody, but for flavor and MTL vaping the RM2 is pretty hard to beat, is still my favorite atty for MTL vaping.

Thank y'all! I am so excited. This is going to be a shot in the arm for a new device. I happened to pick up (oops!) a gold Sigelei 30watt today because it's so cute...but it's only because I have G.A.S. Really hoping beyond hope I become addicted to Reos due to the high-quality and longevity.

Wahooooooo!!! Another thing that threw me when I got mine...... If you put the atty on, mash the button, and nothing........ you may need to insert the included allen key into the 510, and turn counter clockwise to tighten all the way, then turn clockwise to loosen up/raise it. I had to turn mine a full turn. Was freakin out, turned 1/4, nothing. Turned 1/2, nothing. Turned 3/4 nothing. Really????? I was so afraid I'd mess it up (yeah I know) someone said go a full turn, so I did, and it was fine! lol It's reverse threaded, so that's why it's lefty tighty, righty loosy goofy Pigtail Googly Eyes.gif

yw..... check out this guys videos. You'll see quite a bit.

https://www.youtube.com/user/sxmxdrifter They really are wonderful. You can't destroy em......they'll last forever. Easy to use with slight learning curve, and super easy to fix if anything does go wrong. Made in the US by a great guy who is always around here and gets back to you quick to answer questions. Plus a great supportive forum of reonauts who can also help. Sorry, should have posted the vids yesterday, just didn't think of it.

Do you pay through paypal for these reos ? as Im reading paypal are rejecting vaping purchases.
Catfish atty mods said he had some payments rejected.

I used paypal for my first Reo on December 30th (wow time flies using this). I emailed Rob and asked if he had any blemished mods in stock that weren't on the site and he sent me a paypal invoice. No problems at all with mine going through.

PM Robert about the choice of PayPal. He is really good at making things work out for you. You can not buy through PayPal on reosmods. But that does NOT mean that he can't use PayPal for a payment!

My first Reo LP gets here tomorrow as well -- and I have a couple questions:

The recommended batteries (I ordered two) will probably not get to me before the Reo does. I have several healthy regular 18650 IMR 2500mah batteries. Can I use one of them in the interim?

If not, I can wait. Not worth it to chance it.

Well I just unwrapped REO #3 and after a quick inspection a tiny bit of That grey stuff, fresh battery, fresh coil and wick and a quick fill of the new bottle and a short wick soak and off to the races!
