13 ???????????

No, sorry, no way smoking vaping or make up or...lots of things!!

At 16+ ok for vaping...actually id be relieved to see them vaping instead of smoking!

Cigarettes I really wouldnt be too happy about... and would def not allow cigs at home...

But you know the kids are gonna do it ANYWAY...

I Know I USED to ;) ....... at 16-17 we'd all smoke in front of the school before/after classes.

They used to come out and tell us "not to do it in front of the school please" as was a "bad example for the younger kids" (!!!) but that didnt stop anything...and we'd all smoke on the WAY home too....but never smoked openly at home = none of our parents allowed it (at least that reduced the amount I was able to smoke)

My mother would go thru my drawers and throw out my packs of ciggies.. id just have to buy a new one...made no diff...so what can you do really ???

You can not allow it at home and explain why but....

I think nicotine addiction is a smoke screen (excuse the pun) to cover up for what really is contained in tobacco products that causes the addiction. I have read that MAOI's are put in tobacco cigarettes. I have never taken any MAOI's, but have taken SSRI's and stopping those can do quite the number on your body. It is beyond me that the tobacco companies are allowed to do this, but it is most likely that they put a number of chemicals in the product that when combined form a MAOI, rather than an already prepared MAOI. This is inexcusable!

Upto age 16 I would not be happy and would sit them down for a good long talk whether it be smoking or vaping, 17 well my options become virtually nothing and given my own past I couldn't be hypocritical enough to give them a hard time but if it was smoking I'd be pushing vaping and hope it's a phase that will pass. I don't see vaping as a social activity, for the vast majority of us it was the only way to rid ourselves of tobacco and I think that's how I'd like vaping to stay as a medical tool to reduce harm in whatever way. I have a friend and she had an obesity problem that ecigs are really helping with so vaping can be very useful for other things then getting off tobacco.
