6v is rough to keep atty's going even by experienced users. You have to drip and keep it nice and wet and even then it definitely shortens the life span.
If your mod can handle them 18650's are really nice, a charge last's about 2 days with pretty heavy use ( I used a prodigy v1) Freshly charged they come in a bit higher than 3.7v so they are pretty satisfying and most importantly much easier on the atty's.
It definitely helps that they've made some advancements in that battery too. They started at like under 2000mah and the one I just bought, which I might add I believe just came out, is 3000mah. Pretty nice! lol

Thats interesting - I figure with my 901, A battery / atomizer combo only needs to last 3 days ($30 smoking in NYC) to break even, and the cost of juice is worked into that.

glad im not in NYC, its going to take me a months to recover my investment in a instead-smoke kit I bought that lasted a week, not to mention all the money Ive spent in shipping from different companies trying out liquids and the kit I had to buy that actually works.

Wish I was as rich as you

i dont know what everyone means by high voltage vaping leading to short atty lifespans. i have 6month old 510 attys (two of them) that i have been using on my prodigy for that long and they are still great! i even sometimes lean on that button for 5 seconds or more, depending. i really treat them terribly, i will use them even though theyre hot, etc. i do rotate them once a week and give them an alcohol bath and drying period. i dunno, i havent lost one yet, but there's 35 more in a baggy ready to step up.

funny thing is, i always thought the atty would be the only thing to replace. the switch on my prodigy is being temperamental, and so i have ordered the prodigy v2. hopefully the mechanical switch will be much more consistent.

Your fine, regular Ecigs are regular voltage. I just ordered from RMV too, gotta love their quick shipping. I bought my mother a 510 kit and juice and a portable recharging case for her for christmas from them too. I've prolly spent about 150 bucks through RMV in the last couple days. So I think I'm a pretty valuable customer now. lol:D

Whats that do? How long should I boil it?

This has worked for me on more than one occasion. Apparently some e-juices get gunked up and harden in the intricate workings of the atomizer.

Drop the dead ( by this I mean completely dead...cold dead) atomizers in some water. Bring it to a slow boil, stirring the atomizers around. Let them sit in a slow rolling boil for a minute or two. Fish them out, careful not to burn yourself...the metal will be hot. Let them cool off enough for you to blow the excess water out, blowing from the battery end.

Set them on a napkin on a plate, battery side up, overnight to dry.

The next day drip a drop or two of juice on the atty and see if they fire up. Many will.

I'll try it, 3 dead attys, I'm on my last one so what do I have to lose? lol Any other neat tips you recommend if the boil doesn't work? I already gave them rubbing alchohol baths with no effect on the attys.

Dude, don't even bother... the more stuff you put them through, the less they work reliably... just blow them out once in a while and that's about all the preventive maintenance you really need IMHO... and yeah, I've tried just about everything :p

I don't know where people get this 3 sec rule. I hold the button for 3-5secs before I even take a puff on my 510 at 6v.

I have burned them for 3 to 5 mins at 6v cleaning them.

Trick to vapping at high voltage is to drip into the atomizer(not carts). If you want a cart at high voltage use the KR808-d atomizer.

I totally agree with you. I am reckless with my attys at 6 volts. The only atty I have ever killed at 6 volts was a really old 901,
