So today is three weeks off of analogs, and I'm thinking about getting a Provari when I hit 1 month.

My questions are these, and I know that they're speculative:

When do you think the Provari V3 will come out? Should I wait a few months?

If a Provari V3 is in the works, what do all ya'll think will be different about it? Variable wattage?

I really like the idea of variable power and, at least in my mind, a variable power Provari would be an amazing device.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Congratulations on 3 weeks sans cigarettes!! From what I've heard from other members, it seems like it will be a while before there is a new iteration of the Provari. That being said, other than making it VW with a bigger screen and (maybe) some cosmetic changes, there's nothing to change. It really is a damn near perfect PV. Believe the hype! I just got mine today and it is as good as advertised.

In my case the regular Provari with the extended cap and the 18650 battery is perfect for me. I'm a law enforcement officer and the Provari was put to the test this week in 2 violent arrests and it worked perfect. No injuries to the suspect, no injuries to my hands and my black regular Provari not even a scratch. Kept on vaping after the arrest. My partner that has never smoked a day in his life just order one. So I guess this is one more testimonial on the Provari.

I seriously doubt that there will be a newer version Provari in the next several months. Provape just converted the 2.0 to 2.5 version a few months ago; makes sense that they would not have done that if coming out with a new model any time soon. Provape has also said there would be no variable wattage for the Provari any time soon (if ever).

Really, if you are considering a Provari, you accept it for what it is. It will be the most dependable, consistant, and durable APV that you ever own, and backed by the manufacturer for as long as you own it. It does what it does better than any other mod made.

If your next APV must have variable wattage, then look for another mod, the Provari might not be for you. If you want an OLED screen, find another mod. The LED screen that Provape uses is a more durable and less expensive screen. If ego threading or a puff counter on a mod is a game changer for you, then get an Evic. No bells and whistles on the Provari.

I considered VV/VW and for myself, if the vape is to cool I turn it up, to hot, turn it down. I would do the same regardless of whether it was VV or VW so at least for me, the difference is really, meh. It was quality that sold me my first and second Provari.
My feelings exactly, on both counts. I imagine VW may come in handy if you use a lot of juice devices with different resistance, but I always use carto tanks with the same cartos - resistance may vary a bit from carto to carto and it rises slightly over time/use, but it doesn't take more than a couple bumps up or down to keep me where I want to be. Also, I fiddle with my settings for different juices anyway, so I'd be having to do the same thing with a VW device. Not even VW can account for the fact that I like one particular juice at around 7.5 watts and another one at 8.5w.

As to the second point, I'd much rather have a well-built, durable, quality device that's going to last me a long time than a device with VW where I have to keep fixing center pins, having buttons quit working, stretching springs, etc. The ProVari does exactly what I need it to do - provides a solid, consistent, reliable vape and stands up to daily use without me having to baby it or constantly fiddle with/repair it. I've dropped it, had it kicked around, gotten it completely soaked while out on a boat, etc., and it just keeps working.

I have a Zmax VV/VW and a Provari, I don't really miss VW. I play with the settings based on juice type anyway. Gave my wife the Zmax so she won't burn a coil out when changing from a carto tank to an Evod, she is happy to set it and forget it.

Provari is everything people say it is, quality and a smooth vape that won't let you down. I really would prefer they add Ego threading on an new version so I can use my mini protank or Evods without an adapter. Other than that, it is perfection!

That's what I was looking for. Thanks, man. I'm going to go ahead and get the Provari. Now I'm not sure which one to get. I like the look of the Mini a lot more, but I really like the idea of having the full size with the extension cap for longer vaping time. Right now the Twist 1100 lasts me maybe 3 hours if I'm lucky. Then again, with the ability to just pop in fresh batteries, maybe the Mini with an extension will give me the most flexibility. Provari Mini it is...I guess I was just thinking out loud on that one.

Now, the question is this: I really like the Protank II - will I need an airflow regulator with the Provari Mini?

Protank II works great by itself on that set up

No, no extension needed. I've used both the Protank I and II on my Provari's, no issues with airflow.

If you decide on the Mini, as you said you can use extensions to use a longer lasting battery. You can go with Provape's own battery extension cap for the 18490 battery for $25. Or you can get a Tatroe extension ring for just $15. Buy one to use the 18490, or two to use the 18650 battery. The Tatroe Provari base is very useful if a top heavy delivery device (like an RBA) is used to prevent accidental topping over and possibly cracking a glass tank.

What HE SAID !!! I went this route with the tatroe rings... perfection. Good looking mod and can use any size battery I see fit.

By the way.. My Provari seems to be more effecient than my otrher mods I used, in other words, y batteries seem to last MUCH longer in this thing than my SVD, Vamo etc.... quite a bit more.

If I ever feel the need to buy another mod, it will be a Provari...

The Tatroe Bases are nice and prevent one from knocking them over, which I did on a daily basis before I got some. I use the 2 rings on my mini to get the 18650 size quite often. I have a metallic bronze mini and the silver is a nice contrast.

And more expensive, is this:

Cingulum Compleo Set für ProVari Akkuträger - TrevVapor

Once I retrieve mine from the Post Office, I can make a comparision.

Don't need Variable Wattage. Learn Ohm's law, lock into a topper you like, or a resistance you like, then you rarely have to change it. But, because it has an Ohm meter, unlike many devices, you can easily adjust the voltage to match whatever wattage you desire. I have 22 APV's. I use the Provari's all day long. I could use anything. You cannot beat the quality, not only build quality, but fire quality. Sounds ridiculous, but my vapes are just better on a Provari. Given the success of the Provari as the number one APV in the world, you may never see a V3. Ready, aim, fire....
