Hi, Have been vaping for 2 years plus now. i started to have breathing difficulty recently which i never experience before. Sometimes i need to draw in air till my side chest started to hurt. i have went to seen a doctor and have everything check and x-ray, the doctor says that my heart and lung is fine.
My gf keep keep telling me it is cause of the vaping which i strongly disagree with her. But that make me rethink, i have research abt pg, vg and flavorings 1 years ago. Could my body now not able to tolerate PG after 2 years plus? which i have read that people who cant tolerate PG may have symptoms of breathing difficulty. I have tried not to vape as much as before which seems to help a liitle. I have been vaping 75PG 25VG for this 2 years plus. From 18mg dropping to 9mg nic.
Does anyone share the same problem?
Need some advice, i dont want to go back to analog after 2 years plus of vaping.
By the way i mostly chain vape for my entire 2 years plus
Thx

There are a few variables here. Could be liquids. Have you changed vendors or flavors? Could be you have built up a sensitivity to PG. Easiest way to find out is to buy a small bottle of VG and try that. You were smart to get checked out and get good news there. You may want to play around with PG/VG ratio also. Do one thing at a time so you'll know what is causing it. Are you staying hydrated? That is really vital, especially with PG. Please keep us posted.

I am sure you can figure it out but trying a few things. :)

Could a person really built up a sensitivity to PG after 2 years plus of tolerating it?
Never change vendor and im still using the old school boge cartos and vision vivi nova lol
Recently read abt silica wick and getting paranoid now :(
I have ordered 50PG 50VG and 100VG juice to try it out. Oh and i have ordered a RDA clone to do cotton build just in case(finally get to try new stuff)
I love vaping!! Cant accept it if i cant vape :(

It IS possible for allergies to "develop" from exposure.
But that doesn't mean that's definitely what's happening.
I think you're on the right track experimenting to see what helps - you can try different wicking, you can try cutting back a bit, you can try to use liquids with far less PG and see what the results are.
I think it likely you'll find a solution other than eliminating vaping entirely!!!
Try reversing the PG/VG ratio - (and adjust your gear til it works for that thicker juice, of course).

Certainly i do not want to eliminate vaping entirely. I have strongly believe that vaping cause far way lesser harm than smoking.
I refuse to touch cigarettes and try to vape as little as possible for now. Till now, im still having this breathing difficulty but its getting slighty better.
For now, i'll have wait for juice and RDA clone to be delivered before i can start experimenting.
Its really good to know that fellow vapers are encouarging and helping each others
    Thx

Chain vaping for 2 years plus.

So maybe 10+ ml a day.

Yeah, I would think that 10+ or 20+ ml a day is going to be having some kind of effect.

I have tried not to vape as much as before which seems to help a liitle.
Sounds like you need to try laying off the vape some more.

If you intake too much of something over a period of time, I suppose the body can develop an intolerance/allergy

I agree with most of this, except I chain vape and use between 3-6 ml a day.

I have to agree that 10ml a day would take a bit of effort to suck down for most people with any life other than sitting on a couch watching TV.

It's allergy season and I happen to be one of those lucky people that has an allergy to every bit of flora on this rock we call Earth, I generally feel like dodo but it isn't vape related. Could be the same for you, could be different, who knows?

Please do try to keep in mind that vaping and or smoking are choices, you never have to do either. The addiction to nicotine is a component that you can take charge of if you want to.

    Hope you feel better soon.

You really should look at everything and not just lock your head onto PG.

    Are you using plastic.

Are you DIY your own liquid?
    What flavors are you using.
Maybe try unflavored; maying there's oils in some of your flavors.
What brands of pg and vg are you using.

Are your materials for diy thoroughly clean?

How well do you clean out your tanks; is there any fungal or moss buildup in your tank or dripper?

    Lead?

So now have to wait till monday for my VG juice and rda clone to be send to me :(
Damn... its seems to took like forever to reach monday
I love vapng and not to be able to vape till im contented is soooooo frustrating :grr:

Its been a few days now, how are you feeling, any change?

One sure way to eliminate certain potential causes is to alter things one aspect at a time. Or alternatively change everything and bring things back one at a time. When you notice the issue you can be fairly sure it is at least closely related to the last change.

Doing great now with 50PG 50VG, getting more better day by day but still have a little slight breathing difficulty.
Gonna see if it's going to get better after 1 more week before trying full PG.
    Thx for the concern!!
it's certainly feel good to get some concern from the community thx :thumb:

The folks here on ECF I think tend to be a good lot of folks, there are a few spots of bickering but for the most part it's a bit like a family.

I can't recall ever feeling so welcome in a forum environment as I did when I first came here, I believe it's only right to be as kind to others as others have been kind to me.

I certainly hope you continue to feel better, if 100% PG works for you great. I have yet to try doing anything 100% PG, though I have vaped 100% VG just for the cloud fun. I have a gallon of PG in front of me as we speak, I may just take a draw or two and see what it's like.

Funny how we are all different. I can't tolerate VG. Accidentally bought a 250 ml USA Red, 6mg VG. Now, it's just sitting there. Spent $80 for a wrong click. Live and learn.

I think I could or even would vape 100% PG if it were flavored, but plain, nothing in it, yeah...not so great. I have to some extent no problem with the idea of vaping 100% VG unflavored on the other hand. To me the taste is at least something more...natural while remaining a bit dry. I'm not jumping for joy whenever I see a bottle of VG, but if the world says no mas on the E-Liquids I'll get by on a blend of home extractions in a VG predominant DIY.

I'm sure you could move the USA Red, that's a ton of E-Liquid to just use as a paper weight.

I'm sure you could sell it in the classifieds. It's very busy there.

If you'd prefer to trade it you can post here:
    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-please-read-first-post-rules-guidelines.html

I have a severe PG intolerance. Even at 1% from flavoring will give me a killer sore throat and swollen glands in my neck. So it's VG for me and I don't feel as though I'm missing anything. I DIY and finding good flavorings without PG is challenging but they are out there. Even unflavored VG has a slight sweet taste and is pleasant although it needs to be thinned with a bit of distilled water and a bit of saline added keeps your mouth moist. Although some people report a "heavy lung" feeling from VG I don't experience that.
