I started vaping with an ego being a machine operator as my day job the ego quickly wore out from hard use, i switched up to a sparkplug but i find the button a bit to fiddly sometimes and find myself cleaning it alot. anyways to make a long story short i need a reliable mod that has a sturdy manual button no switches that has to be easy to clean and or dust proof in its connections after the atty / carto. suggestions?

I don't know for sure since I've never owned one, and it may only be cosmetic, but these look incredibly sturdy, resilient, and reliable.

AtmosUSA Ecigs

Other than that, I'd say maybe check out the roughstack. The switch on it is a bit complicated, the Screwdriver is what I use and it's a completely manual switch. It's basically a blunt screw on a spring that you push into the battery to make the connection.

I have a buzz I bought used from the classifieds. It's been to the field in the heat of texas for weeks on end, been dropped from the top of a semi trailer (carto got smashed but the buzz lives on) been in my body armor while I laid over top of it doing live fire exercises for hours. Basically I've beat the hell out of this thing and it only has minor scratches to show for it. it has a recessed button so it doesn't go off by itself and does have a little screw to set your voltage but you do that once and forget it.Buzz - notcigs.com

Look at the Precise line from Super T, all mechanical, SS and brass or all Stainless, and it's rock-solid. It's what I'd consider my bug-out bag mod. I bought one use, one new, and both have seen dirt and grime within days of ownership because they could. As beautiful as they are, they felt wayyyyyy too solid for me to worry about getting them mucked up or hairline scratched. Cheers, -Magnus

As a machinist for the past 20 years I know what kind of things you can get on your hands and have it end up on or in anything you touch, and how it can affect the finish on anything that is polished.

The saber touch would probably work well for you, but my first thought when you mentioned using a PV at work in a machine environment my first thought was and Omega with the silver vein finish.

The finish is textured so scratches won't show and the "button" is a sleeve over then entire end that you push down the tube to fire. There is very little room for any kind of dirt to get into it anywhere and it is easy to disassemble to clean.

Other Places
Prodigy V3.1 by puresmoker.com - all mechanical and can take a beating. Nice battery life. Battery lasts me all day plus some.

Something a little smaller? Icon by puresmoker.com - all mechanical and can take a beating just like it's big brother the Prodigy. Battery life is shorter than the Prodigy but still lasts half a day (I vape heavily 6-7ml a day).

The Buzz by notcigs.com- a freight train could run one of these over and it would survive. Not all mechanical but still very durable. Variable voltage also.

Megalodon by electronicstix.com - all mechanical and durable. Can be broken down to a tiny size to fit one single cr123a battery for stealth vaping (hides in my girlie hands). It will also accommodate just about any battery you put in it. You can also stack batteries for 6V vaping.

i second the roughstack. the things are freakin impossible to break. and now with the v2 version its much nicer looking. it really used to look like a rough stack lol. but the main thing i like about it is it uses a single 18350 batt and at 1200mah it last forever. plus its really compact.
its a top mounted button so very hard if not impossible to misfire. plus the whole switch is user replacable u just unscrew the locking nut and slap in a new one. with the batts madvapes carrys it can now do 3.7v-(next are with the 20 dollar extension tube) 5v,6v,7.4v's so its really versatile
but thats my 2 cents
