Indiana is a national disgrace, acting like a Banana Republic creating a cartel formed by the dictator's friends. But wait, the FDA is doing the same thing, creating an eCig cartel among a handful of tobacco company's failed and ineffective cigalike products. The Banana Republics of America...

Can you explain?

Most of the elected officials and lobbyist like Greg treated us like we were excrement covered dogs begging for a bone at best. They did not see any large turnouts at our rallies and they did not receive much in the way of political pressure from vapers, with a small exception from Americans for Tax Reform, so we were unwashed rabble to them. No threat to their jobs, thus the backroom deals went forward on the voting floors while they smirked and laughed at us and the jobs they were eliminating. (I am not talking figuratively here, but literally about the laughing and smirking directed at our section of the audience.)

Basically politics as usual. A disinterested and disconnected public is how these people continue to get away with this stuff day after day. These stories coming out in IBJ, Indystar, and Forbes bring interest and connection. The same people who treated us like crap and laugh at us on the voting floors will be the same people saying they are looking into it when cornered by reporters. The huge mistake is to believe any politician actually give a flying fig about you. They will say as much to your face and then go do whatever they want because the vast majority does not keep an eye on what they do after they tell you how much they believe in your message and express their desire to help you.

Thanks Hoosier. You explained that very well. It almost made me puke. I know politicians can't be trusted and only care about themselves and all that but it still makes me want to puke when I read something like this. Normally I don't follow politics for this very reason but this concerns me and my fellow vapors, whom I consider friends, so it is literally making me sick to my stomach. I thought I was getting away from this BS when I moved here 1 1/2 yrs ago.

@Hoosier sounds like typical north Industrial politics as usual.
Generally legislative agendas are set going up to five years out
in some cases. Most of the wrangling we see is on particular
parts of the legislation were the winners have not been decided
on for either political or monetary reasons. 90% of it is cut and
dried and ready to go. We're going to pass this next year or the
next. It depends on how much they can get into the legislative
session and still have time to get the work done and still have
time to argue certain things and politic in general.

One thing is certain. As soon as a issue comes to their attention
the ones that are affected the most are the first to be thrown
overboard.

Short version...it's a trap.

WTH man! I got all excited and then you had to drop the reality bomb. :-x lol.

So why do you guys think it's a trap? I read the points on the HV fb page...where is that info coming from?

Not that I'm doubting...just curious. That letter looks legit to me...the stores just want to keep selling juice as long as they can. Can't see how the IGCSA is in bed with the Evil 6...

...or is the conspiracy even bigger than we though?:sneaky:

Point number 6 in the comments by Hoosier Vapers - without anything being officially in writing, by law or policy, people selling noncompliant juice on the belief of this nebulous email are still subject to lawsuit by the monopoly.

They were FOR the law because they thought it would close all vape shops and leave their members as the only retailers for juice.

Since all their suppliers failed to get a permit many more shady things have been going on. Bonus, it has finally gotten the full attention of the media because of the shady things going on behind closed doors. Which is a clear violation of the law. So the hounds are on their trail and there are a number of efforts to discredit Hoosier Vapers and direct the investigation towards us. This letter is merely the most public attempt to date.

We expect more things like this in the near future. Don't believe everything you see and hear, especially if it seems like great news for vapers, unless it it is written in a final regulation ruling or a judge's opinion as part of a ruling. (There is the highly unlikely option of the governor making an executive change, but that would be part of public record.)

To keep things at the proper place, I cannot reveal all I know as that could threaten our position. Politics during litigation is a tricky thing so we intend to error towards the high road. Apologies if this doesn't satisfy folks, we're doing the best we can with the hand we hold.
