Indiana Senate leader commits to fixing vaping law | 2016-11-23 | Indianapolis Business Journal | IBJ.com

It is starting.

Just a start. Remember these people are completely capable of talking out both sides of their mouths and their a-holes simultaneously.

Additional pressure will need to be applied when the session is in.

In the link it says:
IBJ reported in August that the FBI was probing for possible corruption in the vaping law. And the law has also been the subject of multiple lawsuits.
Long said the monopoly for Mulhaupt’s was “inadvertent.”
“We’re going to change that, and hopefully open the door to a fair and open market,” Long said. “That’s what we want to see.”
Long said Sen. Randy Head of Logansport would carry the bill in 2017. Head voted against the 2015 and 2016 iterations of vaping bills in the Senate on their final passage.

I live in Logansport and before this law passed I did call his Logansport office and give my thoughts and complaints. Think I'll call them next week and see if I can get some of his thoughts and details. And maybe ask if he really knows what E-Cigs have done for me and others who have quit smoking.

I dont' know Indiana's tobacco laws, but I know Indiana businesses buy most if not all their Cigs out of state. If the Indiana Lawmakers are so worried about whats going into E-Juice sold in Indiana, why don't they pass a law that Cigs must be made in Indiana so they can oversee what goes into each Cig.

But we all know if they passed a law like they have on E-Juice Indiana would not be able to sell many Cigs. I haven't done any research but I doubt there's any company processing Cigs in Indiana.

Also how about all the billions of other food, drink, etc. items we consume everyday. Most all are made out of state. Doesn't our Lawmakers care about what goes into those products?

Bottom line, they don't care about whats going into E-Juice. They just want stop or slow down the sale of E-Cig supplies in Indiana, they're loosing tax revenue from the loss of Tobacco taxes. We are one of the highest smoking states there is so that means Indiana relies heavily on cig taxes.

You may have missed that none of the eLiquid regulation applies to eliquid that is sold in prefilled cigalikes. Tons of eliquid coming into the state without any oversight as long as you are already a verified member of the kickback machine.

So we've previously talked about this corrupt law getting shot down.
And we've pondered the possibilities of people getting some well-deserved jail time.

Can we start thinking about whether or not vendors can sue for damages?
I'll admit, that one is a little out of my league.

I'd ask my wife, because she has a law degree...
But she's downstairs right now making Christmas cookies with her sister.

Prefilled cig-alikes were expressly exempted from the law. The back room talk at the statehouse was they wanted to avoid the tobacco lobby from making a stand against it. By keeping the cig-alikes out, the tobacco lobby made no stand one way or another.

The permit holders have a fairly unique legal position as the law stands now. The can sue to enforce the law in civil court but have protections against themselves being sued by non-permit holders. That part of the law would have to change too if the non-permit holder vendors were to get any traction in court for damages.

This law is crooked as they come and few suggest otherwise at this moment in time. To suggest that the FBI and the court are playing politics would not be something out of my keyboard. I have no desire to demean our honorable judges nor our hard working FBI agents. I would suggest looking at timelines of when court dates were scheduled and when the general assembly leadership started actually talking about fixing the law along with the timeline of the FBI's investigation...

To me it looks like the 5th district judge who decided the Florida company could sell its E-Juice to Indiana and the FBI officers who are investigating this law are on the right path, them I trust mostly. Others who get involved you never know.

These corrupt politicians who pushed for this law I imagine may have some judges on their payroll, those are the ones we have to worry about.

If crocked Hillary can get away with what she did I imagine our Indiana Politicians could get away with the monopoly law they got passed. My heart goes out to those business's ruined by this law. This shows how little our Indiana politicians care, its all about the bucks to them.

“It appears this vaping law is the gift that just keeps on giving to some individual legislators in terms of employment.”
Yeah.

Sometimes I wonder just how far they can pull that long train of abuses and usurpations before the people once again decide that it is their right, their duty...

I keep checking back here to hopefully read "Indiana ejuice law thrown out"! UGH! So mad about this and wish I learned DIY a long time ago.

Sorry, Sister.... Lots of us who can help if you ever want to give it a go.... (I started a couple of years ago because I'm too cheap to buy juice  )
