Hey Guys did some reading last night id like to try at least get some snus or try asap for emergency use when i do not have any juice to vape

what id like to know does all snus taste like tobacco?
can i get some that taste mellow ( if so can u send a link and suggest a flavor/ flavors or flavorless so i can order ASAP

I have the same question (except WTA). I've been vaping for over 3 years and have come to really hate the smell/taste of tobacco. I maybe could tolerate it if seriously masked - what's my best bet in a snu? I know I'm gonna get tobacco taste no matter what - just wondering what's gentlest. I chainvape 18mg but get nauseous if I go at all over that.
I'd prefer to use Swedish ones and wonder where to get them, also.
And you swallow, right?

OMG. I've been googling all day on this. I live in Md., which has been hit by all sorts of wonkey tobacco legislation.
After painstakingly deciding what I wanted for starters, I decided to order just 4 cans of Swedish snus, and just shipping (after taking it down to just 2 cans, a $13.00 order) is over $28!!! Over $40 for 2 cans of snus.
Several vendors just stated that they cannot ship at all to certain states (including Md.). I doggedly tried it all of the recommended vendors; it was the same or worse. I googled til I figured out the vile political history on that one, then searched for local tobacco shops that sell 'em. From what I can glean from various forums it's very, very difficult if not impossible to get Swedish snus here at all. I have no idea re Camel or Marlboro here but I'm persuaded by my research that they're pretty worthless for nicotine delivery.
I'll call around the shops when things are open tomorrow, but others have had no luck for a long time.
Because I got riled I did find a highly reputed black marketeer, but jeez, this is more trouble than it's worth, fuhgeddaboudit.
Lot's of very old, happy snu posts online, then lots of ...... off ones, and then nearly nothing... pfft.
It did make me really grasp just how quickly our beloved vapes could just go plooey.

Call around to local tobacco shops and 7/11's. I just recently started using snus, and I was able to find General brand in my area.

Shipping is high because the only option is UPS due to the PACT act. If you order from overseas, they do not charge tax ( which varies by state ), but shipping is higher. If you order from a US location such as Northerner.com, shipping is a little bit cheaper but they will add tax depending on where you live.

Kenny - based on your other posts, you will probably need strong snus. I've never used chewing tobacco, but I don't mind the taste of the snus I have tried so far. It's generally salty, has tobacco flavor, and can come in mint, some fruits, and a few other spiced flavors.

if you get a fruit flavor that is med or med high in nicotine is the flavor dominant during the duration it stayes in mouth? BC i don't like chew if it tastes anything like chew i will NOT like it

does the juice made in the bac of mouth ( similar to chew) sit in back of mouth during the duration you have it in? and how long do you have to have in to get its effects? do you have to have a new one like 10-20 times a day like smoking?

If all you want to do is try it to see if you like it I d be happy to send you a couple of homemade in a tea bag pris of a couple flavors. Do to even bother with Amercan. I'm pretty easy going about tastes etc... But the one recommended as the least bad was Camel Mellow and it was very poor by comparison. I usually use stuff up anyway but I won't be bringing my self to do that with the Amercan stuff. I didn't throw it away so. Can send you a couple of those too. LMK

No they dont make flavorless snus but plain tobacco if that's what you mean, yes. Skurf strong is one. Its mellow tasting to me and yes they all have salt which im still trying to get used to. Plus the salt aids in changing the mouths chemistry so the WTAs and nic are more easily absorbed. If snus junky doesn't send you some I can send a couple pris to see if you like it. Yes Snus has WTAs. WTAs can be subtle and still think you are going out of your mind but I totally relate! Some day when you get this going the way you want you'll sit back with a big happy smile and have a good laugh. Great to see you being so proactive. Hang in there!

As far as flavors there is general mint and wintergreen. There is essentially no tobacco taste in either.

The reason the shipping is so high from Sweden is because it has to be shipped international UPS which is expensive. The price gets a lot better when you order in quantity. In my last order I got 70 cans and the shipping cost was under $50. It becomes pretty reasonable when making large orders. Unfortunately not good at all when making small orders. If you just want to try it finding a local vender is a much better way to go.

I haven't had camel snus in a long time but it's worth a try if you can't find anything else. It's going to be very sweet compared to Swedish snus, and to sweet for me, but there are people who like it and use it daily.

Snus most definitely has WTA, as all whole tobacco products do. Even the camel snus has it. If you are feeling nervous and edgy there is a very good chance snus will calm you down very nicely.

Wew! Thanks for coming in Stubby! Where I live they have no snus or snuff for 50 miles! My circle K is supposed to be a vender but the problem is they can choose to stock it or not. Mine chooses not. Small town 9 thousand. I have to order online
But it's easy. Just have to save up for a big quantity or eat it until you feel committed. I had to email the CentralSnus site 2 times because my bank blocked my transaction effort. They replied with what seems to be a form letter or not but they replied with in a day and both times. I'm confident they are an efficient company. I looked at buysnus and they had the same 10% deal for first time customers however their prices were higher and so was the shipping. Thought I'd try to get another good deal for next time but...I have to wait a year almost anyway. I BET I get my 18 or so cans of 25 gr. snuffs tomorrow! I'm loaded now! Kenny, when you think of what chew tastes like, what comes to mind. I always think of wintergreen and hate wintergreen. I think someone else mentioned skruf. It's a mild tasting plain tobacco and can be bought in regular strength and extra strong. For a plain tobacco taste I really like Lab 01 and 02. The two that I have settled down with for the most part are general mint(8mg regular strength) and thunder berry(16mg extra strong). There are a lot of different snus that taste nothing like chew. If it's a flavored strong snus you're looking for then thunder has berry, cool mint(peppermint), orange, and coola(cola).

As far as how many a day are used, it varies but most use somewhere between 4 and 8 portions a day. I normally am around the 8 mark myself along with vaping and an occasional pinch of nasal snuff. The snuff has been few and far between for me lately though. I think most times I keep a snus portion in for anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours. For me it depends on how long the portion keeps its flavor. I would say that I keep them in for at least an hour and often longer. Snus is not quick acting like smoking or vaping. For me it takes 5-10 minutes for it to take affect but with snus it stays in your system for a longer period. As far as the "juice" in your mouth, it is swallowed. I keep my portions in the very back top above my molars and I don't get an extreme amount of saliva generated.

I'm only going to be able to get General, I think - and I'm not fond of wintergreen, either, although peppermint is sort of OK. I used to be a really heavy smoker, and I chain-vape 18mgs. Of the selection likely at the tobacconists what's your suggestion? I totally OD on over 18mg vape. Whites? Minis? Any flavors in that line?

Thanks hittman. I forgot to get into that part of it. You definitely will not be using 20 portions a day with snus. Snus comes on slower then cigarettes but last much longer. I was a pack-a-day smoker but can easily get by with 6 portions a day, and often less with snus with no symptoms of withdrawal. I often feel I am doing to much but just kind of indulging myself. If you can find a decent price on snus it is a pretty inexpensive way to using tobacco.

aubergine-I would suggest starting out with the white and mint. As you where a heavy smoker and vapor I doubt the mini's are going to do it for you. Get the regular strength. You are not likely going to be able to get anything stronger then that from a local vender.

Something to note on the white is that it can take a bit to get used to the flavor. Some people are put off by the salt at first, but almost without fail the "to salty" first impression goes away within a short period of time. If you don't like the flavor at first don't throw it away. Just put it in the fridge and come back to it in a few days. You may find it much better as you get used to it.

If it doesn't make my teeth nasty and isn't too gross and drooly I'm thinking I could use snus to slow this train down a little. I am so damned hard core in everything I do, sigh. I'll follow your advice and report back after I get the hang of the new nic-toy, or not.

I don't use enough snus to make shipping worthwhile, so I get General's mini mints locally.
You can also look for "Stonewall" Disolvables, I get them at my local discount smokeshop, or "Arivas", which I have found at Walgreens. They are pellets and run about $3 for a pack of 20. They come in Tobacco, Mint and Java. Star Scientific

Long story short .Thurs a co worker could not even give me a dang smoke ( it was 11 am) and I had NOT had ANYTHING for 15 hours . No vape no nothing......It F-ed my day/ week/ month all up...
thatday I broke went out to get snus and a pack of reds....
Iam having problems with all PG based e liquids. Anything with evena small percentage of PG is giving me a bad reaction . Note: (****FYI Even the VG liquids) **** have a small percentage % of PG Inthem . My adverse reactions were real...


OKon to snus. My American Suns trial didn't go well . The first one lasted bout 10 min tops till I spit it. The second trial lasted bout 5 . The dang tin says spit free .Right!!! JMHO u have to spit that stuff . Btw ( I rather smoke buts out of the ash tray) than put /keep that crap in my mouth for a while . Hopefully the sweetish snus is remotely different .


Was supposed to get some Swedish suns to try this week but Never gotthe package on Sat , nor did I get my organic e juice f/ virginvapors) .Both were ordered Mon- Tuesday. Note I have over $200 of juice that I prob cant use.
OK here is where you can help me. Is there such a snus that you can recommend that has NO flavor or is mild in taste.? Not sure I willbe into mint now cuz that was my bad experience each time .Like to give it another try but need a flavor that is a simple subtle sortof background flavor.
I am PAD smoker 30 years of reds camel, Winston or anything on sale thats was full flavor smoke. After vaping for a while I cant stand smokes, the flavor or the foul taste it leaves behind . However I need the WTA's to stay sane.
As for the snus So I guess the best to try is try is 12 mg ,8mg or even less no? Please advise .

Sorry for the troubles , but I cant stand chew (had it once about 15 years ago) The gum was even worse (spit after one min) Btw I smoked many cigars in my day,whifs ,backwoods, Cubans, DM,Cherries,Phillies , Dark camaron Elites and Ican smoke it down to the bitter end chewing on the but . However after finishing id never think about sticking it in my mouth. Well to me thats what chew taste like and I don't like that bitter tobacco, juice flavor when your done enjoying the smoke.

If you were to order Swedish snus from somewhere it would take for 4 to 12 days is my best guess based on replies I've read here to posts about shipping times from Sweden or Northerner here in the USA. I'm very surprised you never recieved it. Gee, I don't know. Is NJ allowed to have tobacco products thru the mail like that? Check the email you sent me with your address and be sure it is correct. Otherwise I don't know. Weird.....
