We elimated the spring and cup on this design and with the thinner top cap of the Simplicity and integrated threads on the bottom, this Kiklet design is much shorter then the original. It also has an adjustable center pin on the bottom of it and an adjustable center pin on the top cap of your Simplicity 18XXX making it quite user friendly. The new Kick2 also appears to be much improved in its firing consistency. It's a big win.

About time Mr. SuperT....... Still the best fit for a Kick/Crown is the ELA as there are 0 threads to pass when inserting and it also stays in when removing the battery plus its easy to remove,,,Just remove the top cap and push it out the bottom of the telescopic tube.... I'm still waiting for a Kick2 but my Kick always fires in the ELA......
