O.K.. Here is an update...

Envision.. Crazy woman.. Naked.. Kitchen.. Cats..

I know I am supposed to think 'out of the box' here. But, for my first try, I thought I would stay 'in the box', and see what people were .....ing about. So, I did my normal microcoil (24g Kanthal, 3/32" diameter, 8 wraps), with a goal of .6 ohms. I mounted her horizontal, at deck level. I threaded her with my rolled cotton. When metered, she came out at .5 ohms.

First try, and not bad. Taste: I taste my coffee more than I ever did before. Clouds: Not bad. Could I use more? Sure. Therefore, my next build, I will change it up a bit. Throat Hit: It hits. I wish I had some lower nic level on hand to try out.

So, because I did not go 'out of the box' on my first build, I expected failure. However, it was not. She is tasting pretty good, so I think I will vape her a while, before I change her up.

Since I don't go out much, I tend to do most things naked.

People who know me, know to call before they come. I do not answer my door, unless I am expecting someone. When the jehovah's witnesses get too pushy, and won't stop, I answer. Most of them, don't come back.

That's hysterical! I need to try that next time they come by. I've tried being nice. I've tried telling them I was a (insert religion here) and I've tried being mean. That's not in my character so they saw though that.

Now a naked guy answering the door? That just might work!

Notice I stated "Most don't come back.". Some of the men, do come back.

Good to hear, did you use any lube on the threads first to screw them on? We're going thru them now and finding some tight ones, but a dab of noalox is allowing us to get them all on.

Looking Sharp!!! Good to hear some lube helped, I'll check em all over and start sending them out with a dab of lube already on the threads for people.

Just a little update. Envision this..... I am attempting my first ELA Strata build. In my kitchen. Naked. The cats are all over my stuff, saying 'What's up Mom?'. I should vid and post for 'comic relief'.

BTW: I rarely wear clothes at home. Much to my Mother's horror, I was born a nudist at heart

I am still vaping my traditional coil build. I am liking the flavor! I am still not ready to go 'out of the box'. For my next step, I want to do dual traditional coils. If my normal build is (24g Kanthal, 3/32" diameter, 8 wraps) resulting in .6ish ohms, do I need two 4 wrap coils? I forget how it works.

Today was a bad coil day...got the strata, tried am opinion...got it to work, but wasn't happy, so I proceeded to spend the next 4 hours trying different coils...as you can tell from the opening statement, nothing was satisfactory. I've given up for tonight, but not on the strata...it looks amazing on an ela..

From what I remember about duals is that you need to 2 coils at double what you normally do. Lets say you want 1 ohm , then you do 2 coils at 1 each to end up with the total? I hope some one rings in. Im probably mixed up, but thats Me..

If your target resistance is .6 ohms you will need two 1.2 ohm coils. Dual coil means that your resistance for each coil will be cut in half.

Target || What you should install
.5 ohms = Two 1 ohm coils
.6 ohms = Two 1.2 ohm coils
1 ohm = Two 2 ohm coils
etc.
