Well as far as wanting different colors I wonder if this might not be an option :) I did this to my REO copper Vein door with nail polish of all things. Now be forewarned before even trying this on something. As far as the anodized REO door it works well but once you remove it to change the color. Your original will not be quite the same. I don't know what the material is of the iPV50 but I may be the guinea pig and give it a go when I get mine. :)

Ok.. impressed with the size. I thought we were getting the big box.. and the smaller mod in prototype video was the next version.

To make @the kiwi happy..inline+ fluke 1587 voltage output readings.

26awg 0.22ohm "parallel" build ~2mm ID
@50watts is giving me 3.6Volts.. doesn't feel like it 58Watts.. but I trust it if two meters are saying that it is.
@30watts and less is reading 3.4Volts immediately, and quickly drops to 3.2Volts.

26awg 0.65ohm ~3mm
@7Watts is reading 3.6Volts
@20Watts is reading 4.05Volts
@30watts is reading 4.93Volts
@40watts is reading 5.66Volts
@50watts is reading 6.35Volts

I tried to build a higher resistance build with a new tobh clone, but I kept popping legs, before I decided to file screws a little.. and ran out of 28awg I'm about to try out a quad/dual series build on my origen..

Going to post more..I think I need to take fluke to get calibrated...I guess meters got switched up at work.. this one doesn't have a calibration sticker on it..

Edit- elev8vape order #5796 black

HA thanks suspect. I knew I could count on ya. Haven't had time to really look at the readings but thanks!

I believe that I am only a day or two away from pulling the trigger on the ipv 50w from elev8. My question is that for those who have RECENTLY ordered and did not do the pre-order, how long is it taking to receive the mods from the company? Are the newly placed orders being held back to fulfil the pre-orders placed still? I am just trying to get an approximation of the wait time ahead of me.....I am quite impatient when I finally make up my mind about something. :D

I just received my IPV V2 today from WetVapes. I know I have read many times about people saying just how small it is so I shouldn't have been surprised by its size but that is the first thing I noticed too. Ordered from WetVapes on Friday afternoon and received it on Monday afternoon. That's really fast considering it was over the weekend!

It has the QC label on the inside and I can turn the touch sensor on and off with the buttons. Thought I had a scratch on the display but it turns out there is a plastic film to protect the plastic parts - thought I had read someone say it didn't have this. The scratch was just on the film.

This thing is just amazing...

I figure by the time we get ours Jomiz there will sales all over the place HA HA. I'm gonna let my order stand though as from what I am seeing folks that have gotten theirs from elev8 are very happy with them. I did order it as a early birthday prezzy so maybe I will get it FOR my birthday :) I doubt it though. I bet I am looking at mid to late Aug

Can confirm the ones from elev8 dont have the plastic film over the plastic parts. I can also confirm that it gets scratched pretty easy. still no other issues besides that. Great mod!

edit: scratch that. there is plastic on it! haha i just took it off. looks even better now!

I ran out of 28awg, and I may have gotten bored...I stuffed rayon under the coils..I'm going to try it with it laced through the coils and cotton, before I say it was just for amusement.

Waaaait. That's a dual coil right..? With each made up of 3 sub coils in series.

What did it ohm out to..? I would imagine a ridiculous heat up time unless you dump in some massive wattage

Correct.. at 50watts surprisingly quick heat up time. Those pictures are essentially right after firing. It ohms out at 0.65. 0.8ohms on ipv2.

I love the real time battery voltage..my 510's leaking in my 4nine have done some damage to my vtc5s. I'm going to get a Samsung 25r and Sony vtc5..let them fight it out in real life.

Okay, I got mine today from an ebay seller - took 3 days to get to me.

Pro - I love the specs of the chip.
Right now i'm rocking a .2 ohm sleeper build which will fog up a room pretty quick.
50 watts.

Con - the device itself feels pretty cheap, and easily breakable.
The buttons are terrible.
Response time seems pretty bad.

:O

So the ohms reading on the IPV is off..?

0.15 ohms difference is a preeeetty big difference duncha think.
