The 50 watt has the touch sensor option as well as being able to fire a .2 oHm atty versus .3 oHm for the 35 watt. Other than that and the higher power for the 50 watt there doesn't appear to be a difference. The specs for the chips are on Yihi's website, YiHiEcigar SX330 V2 50W and YiHiEcigar SX330 V1 35W.

What are the differences in the chips besides extra wattage with the ipv II .

The IPV1 use a SX330 V1 = 35 Watts
Output Current = 13.5 A
Input Current = 15 A
Min Resistance = 0.3 Ohms

The IPV2 use a SX330 V2 = 50 Watts
Output Current = 16 A
Input Current = 20 A
Min Resistance = 0.2 Ohms
also can fire at the touch sensor

You would need a better battery on the IPV2 (VTC4/5, I will guess is almost mandatory)

Do you guys think the dark gray one in the video is the "black"? That's the same color I see everywhere on ebay that has it in stock

I don't know what you're looking at but they look black to me. And there are hardly, if any, in stock on eBay. They are presales.

I don't think it does..I think the sx350 is the only chip that does that, kiwi.

So what happens if you do build a 0.2 ohms build then?

I guess I'm asking because that's gonna be a issue if there's this restriction in terms of how low you can go in wattage.

Not much of an issue for me, but I guess it could for folks who aren't used to vaping above 20 watts or smth

If you have read the specs there is a restriction on how low you can go. If I remember correctly it's 3.6 volts. That will mean that anything below that will be running off the battery. There's no other way for it to work. You would have to get something with an sx350 chip in it to do what you want it to do. That or purely mechanical.

One just has to build higher oHm coils to vape at lower watts on a regulated device with a boost circuit but not a buck circuit to step down power. I made a spreadsheet to show the range of watts one can get with different oHm coils while staying in regulated territory for the IPV 50 watt.

Eh? That's what I meant. "Running off the battery" will be a "pass through" or "by pass" mode.

From Elev8:

*Update @ 7:58PM EST 7/15: We are currently waiting for the mods to be shipped from the manufacturer. It was not shipped out today, as scheduled. According to pioneer4u, they were trying to ship out the 35w box mods before the 50w box mods, which caused a delay. The iPVs will be in soon and once they come in we will make a video and test them out to make sure they work and of course, ship them to our customers :).

More colors will be added soon, once they make other colors!

Makes me wonder if the 50 watts versions that have already been shipped were just from a small test production run. That said, one can't rule out the possibility that pioneer4u is blowing smoke because of production issues.

I've got two on order from two different vendors. I talked to one today that said his units shipped Friday from China. I dunno, I didn't ask and he didn't provide a tracking#. We'll just have to wait and see. My son has already called dibbs on my Cloupor so I don't know who is more excited, him or me. :toast:
