Try with a block center post atty, that way you can still get dual coils with rock solid contact on each coil lead.

Well I got home last night and got started testing with the multimeter. I was hoping to find something so at the least I could limp it along as far as possible in the return process, or get really lucky and just have it be a fluke. Reality struck though, the multimeter basically confirmed the fatality, and after thinking on it, I have no desire to hack it up and rebuild it myself, I'd end up with a lot of time and money in it and no warranty for if something else happens down the road.
I considered tearing into it and fixing whatever the problem was myself, so I could write a guide for others to use down the road. But with this form factor, there's not a lot that I can do with it to bring it closer to my DIY mod I'm planning, which is an OKR10 chip with dual 18650s.
So warranty return it will be. It's one of the only devices I've bought from outside the U.S. and of course also the only device I've ever had to return lol.
As a sidenote, I will say that even though I had this problem, I like the mod and believe in it and what P4You are doing with it. I was considering getting a backup of it, but then had decided to wait for the 100 watt dual 18650 model. Now that this has happened I contacted on my vendors and will be purchasing another IPV2 from them.
So for those considering purchasing it, I would recommend the mod to friends and such, although I'd try to find one that wasn't from the first couple of batches. If nothing else, wait a couple of weeks until they ship out the next few big batches to vendors filling preorders.
Does twisted coils really provide better flavor , i can't see how but worth trying.
I wondered exactly the same thing. I might have never built them except I was out of my vape budget but wanted something new to tinker on, this hobby is like my relaxation, I like to put my feet up after a long 14 hour day at work, and either vape, or vape & build coils, test setups on new RDA's, etc while I watch some vaping youtube.
So anyway, wanting something to tinker with I got the drill out. I was actually surprised with the twisted coils, I was thinking total placebo, but it really is different, "better" is one of those subjective things, but its different on my setups in a noticeable way.
It seems to me like the parallel coil vapes like it sounds, more surface area, more of the same type of vapor. But twisted wire it's like the juice burns a bit differently and you get different flavor notes than with a regular microcoil and the vapor temp and density is different, like the juice stays to the coil more in all of those cracks and crevices, it's almost like little juice pockets that keep the coil more "drenched" than a regular or parallel micro coil.
Sorry that probably makes no sense lol, but in summary I can tell a difference the way I vape at least and with my setups, mileage probably varies quite a bit with different peoples vape method and different power settings if I had to guess.
That being said, I make twisted coils when I have plenty of time and want something more tinkerish to do. 95% of the time I wrap a micro coil or parallel coil because the difference is noticable but small compared to the time and effort it takes to twist the wire and wrap it and all that business, once you're used to knocking out micro coils in seconds.
