Issues with Hana Modz (Cana Mods) Clone DNA30

This thread is intended to provide a place to post any issues that may be happening with this device. Please just provide what you have experienced and pictures/videos of issues if desired. Please state which version you have (example: first release, second release, etc.)

First post concerning issues: hana modz Clone, first release. device auto-fires without human intervention. Device changes wattage setting each time it comes out of sleep mode. Device display lights up without human intervention while in sleep mode. Device can be set to lock the wattage but is unlocked each time it comes out of sleep mode. Device has over sized center pin in the atty connector. The ohm's readout displays incorrect reading. It reads .3 ohm's below actual.

For the record:
Green, First order, Elev8

The unit will wake on its own on occasion.
No self firing detected.
Charge light flaky at best basically worthless.
Sometimes it takes three clicks to wake.

The mod is used in rotation with 3 or 4 other devices so it's not like I'm grinding on it all day like some might.
Other wise no issues, and I don't feel like it is dangerous.

Guess I should state... the device has been used exclusively with Kayfun 3.1s and minis. Have never had an issue with the 510 connector.

For the record, the Cana Cloupor Modz do not use an Evolv DNA 30 chip.

Yes it is the exact opposite of the first video which had no data or testing with meters (if my memory of it is correct) as it was a "first impression type review" and I don't want to clutter this thread with "vaping" only videos that have no testing/data or issue discussion. Thanks for sharing that the reviewer made an earlier video for those who might want to google his first one. He gave it a big thumbs up in his first video.

Dang Retird, your like a dog with a bone when it comes to the Clouper. I have a black Clouper from the first batch that went out.

- It wakes up on its own once in awhile.
- I also replaced the crappy screws.
- I mainly use Kayfuns from 0.8 to 1.5 without problem. But I do have a Kanger Mega and a regular Aerotank. The mega fires fine, the other does not. I haven't tried the fix since they sit on other mods.

Other than that, going on 2 months without any real issues. Wattage is steady, green light comes on and ohm readings accurate. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Clouper with the minor fixes, but got a FT full size and mini on the way.

I just got a cana mod made by cloupor from 101 vape in black today. The only thing that I found maybe a bit suspect is the screen came on by itself once (I think lol, not positive just yet). If the screen did come on it didn't fire.

Really loving it so far, much more than I thought I would. I purchased two vtc5 sony 2600 mah batteries, but used a panny cgr when I first opened the package to try it out.

Reads ohm's fine and accurate. Kayfun lite plus looks fantastic and hits well. I didn't do any sub ohm yet cause I really love my last twisted coil @1.6 ohm's. The device came flawless and with a tiny phillips screwdriver lol and the usb retractable cord. I'll probably replace the screws as well or would have been nice to have spares added.

I have the model with the new 510 pin I guess it's the second , perhaps third run IDK. Just freaking over the moon happy about this purchase.

Just got a cloupor dna30 mod last week and have had no issues. That said the device battery display shows battery out (no bars) at approx 3.5 volts. So when the battery display says batt is dead it still vapes for another hour or so. Kind of like the low fuel light in a car. (lol).
Beyond the battery thing it's been flawless. Very happy (so far)

Am I the only one that found it weird that Basil never tightened the meter down on the Cana Mod but left it loose so it was facing flat on the device? In fact the first time he put the ECD meter on the Cana, he got it tight, then loosened it so it was flat with the body of the mod. Loosened it by almost a quarter turn.

Is there any other devices or companies that you have scrutinized / nit picked as you have done with these CANA mods / Cloupor? First you made an extensive list of things that COULD be problematic, but they aren't for MANY. You mentioned batteries venting, auto firing etc. I've had EGO's that have done all that but did you start threads and make long ..... lists stating all their issues? It's getting old, it's like you have an agenda against something that is just as nice or close to it, as your beloved EVOLV products. Let it go dude. NO device is PERFECT. EVER! It's an electronic device.. And please don't say you're just doing this for the good of the community, we're all big boys here! JMHO

V1 from 101Vape. If there's an issue that's been discussed about the quirks and problems of the first batch, mine has it. Current status of it is dead as a doornail with a permanent "Shorted" on the display each time the fire button is pressed. Have used a mix of PT2/Aerobase, Aerotank, AT Mega, and KFL+ as toppers on it. Started getting intermittent shorted errors the second week of use.

Have emailed 101 for assistance, so far it appears none will be forthcoming. Their position is the updated connector pin was an "Upgrade," not a fix to a known problem on Cloupor's part. Will update if their position changes after I let them know the device is now completely out of commission.

Your post is noted and this thread was started so those who want to post issues they are having can do so. The list you mentioned that was posted in another thread was a compilation of other members posts of issues they were seeing. I do feel that this device shows a possibility of causing harm like no other I have seen or tested. You may not agree and that's fine. There are many threads in ECF that have been put up where issues of a specific device, juice, battery, atty, and etc. are posted and this is just another one of those threads.

It is my hope that this thread will remain on track and it is my hope that it does not get detracted by those that want to just inject drama. So I ask that we remain on topic here. My OP was very specific on what this threads intended purpose is.

Cloupor version 2 i believe. IS there actually a 3? Mines fires with 1 click out of sleep mode. My issues are similar with random screen coming on and wattage dropping .1 or .2 BUT.. I am also having an issue with it resetting down to 7 watts and not allowing me to adjust the wattage until I pull the battery. This one is going back to eciggity!
