I'm not getting this blank space you all say you see, so I cannot comment on that. Just like the speed of loading, I'm having no problems.

The only difference is really just in format, and where we find the buttons. He's working on various quirks as we encounter them, as we've been beta testing for well over a week now.. but yeah, since I'm not encountering these specific problems I don't know anything about them.

If your having issues you may reply in the thread Oliver created and tell him your getting lots of extra space or whatever, although you might tell him what device your using and what programs to view the forum, as that might make a difference for you.

For me, it very much depends on which theme I've got selected. "ECF" is both the most compact and the fastest. The new "Aluminum" is the slowest.

Oh, and FWIW: i5 CPU @3.6 Ghz, 12 GB RAM, so it's not a lame client either.

As a beside if you like the default forum theme he isn't doing away with it for those who prefer it.. he's just not going to provide support for it after this.

Might be because I'm on 27in iMac, with all this side space being so compact, not all bad, Im whizzing around the site.

I think that helps pinpoint "good" threads. In a review thread that actually might be a good thing, it helps to pinpoint that a lot of members found the thread helpful at a glance.

It's probably less necessary in lounge threads, but in battery safety threads, review threads and more I can see that being very helpful.

Could have been you too, if you participated in the beta testing thread.. it's been up you could have easily put in your two cents for things you liked/wanted.

So "we all" who participated in beta testing and bothered to give our two cents..

Can't make a forum theme just to make one person happy, have to do as much as you can to please as many as possible. Others won't be happy no matter what.
