See everyones been busy and reading up from this morning was like watching a tug of war. Yet all is good. had a great day hanging out with smokers and fellow vapors but I did eat too many crawfish :(

But to wade back into the fray, I was discussing what Indiana did to the vapors in their state with that completely screwed up anti vape legislation that the governor signed and I kept thinking of what the pro cloud chasers been saying here. I gotta say I totally agree with them in this regard. What does this little argument matter when big brother is gonna shaft us in the end anyways. In the end whats right and whats wrong has no meaning. Whats decent and whats rude is meaningless because all the governing body cares about is the $$$ and that they will do what ever they want to rob our wallets.
I am still an advocate of vaping respectfully and responsibly but at the end of the day I will be looking at it the same way I look at the anti gun laws they keep trying to pass. I dont want to be an outlaw but if push comes to shove, catch me if ya can!
i couldn't agree more, doc.

So do what you want, where you want, when you want and how you want with no respect for or consideration of others until something gets officially banned??

Sounds about right for this thread..

Oh my..........

I went to buy a new phone at the local AT&T store last week. Our vape shop is in the same plaza, and the AT&T traveling rep comes in all the time for juice. When I went to buy the phone, I mentioned his name to the girl who was helping me. She said she knew him and loved him, he's a great guy. Then we got onto the subject of vaping in general. She said she had a small eGo which she never used because a person got vaping banned at their work. Nope, it wasn't the traveling rep. It was a different employee who eventually got fired. Guess what the person was using and doing?

EDIT: Forgot to mention she said smoking actual cigarettes on breaks isn't banned.

Wait till AT&T goes out of bizz because they don't allow vaping inside! We can turn it into a vape shop...

:danger: :matrix:

Anyway, this thread was fun but it looks like a ghost town on my PC with all the blocking I've recently done. I wish the forum would not alert when when someone you have blocked quotes your post. It's hard to not respond.. LOL

Well the other day I was with @HauntedMyst in this sports bar and two police officers showed up, took a table next to us and ordered coffee and donuts or something like that. We didn't have anything planned for the night so we looked at each other and decided it would be fun to fog the county jail.

So we take deep draws from our drippers and directed a pair of perfect, thick plumes to the officers table. After some 20 seconds the fog settles and we can see again. Apparently the jail was full or something, as instead of arresting us the officers pulled their pepper spray cans and doused us generously.

We looked at each other and decided to fight back. I refilled with a concentrated cat piss scent "Blueberry", while Haunted went for a paint peeling "Cinammint" that could make even stone statues shed tears. We took deep draws at the full 150W of our siegeleis and proceeded to completely fogging the room. We heard loud, deep, painfull coughs, then the fire alarm went on. Then we heard noises like turned over tables and chairs, and then police car siren. We got out of the place and saw them running away at full speed.

Drippers-police 1-0.

Haunted is still recovering from the Cinnamint but should show up shortly. As for me, even my cats can't stand me. Will be back after another shower.

Well done, sir. It takes a lot of character to see both sides in a thread like this. My hats off to you.

Now just why did you do that Raqball. You trimmed my reply to fit your agenda and totally left out the "I am still an advocate of vaping respectfully and responsibly " which totally negates your argument.

In the future it would behove you to not try to twist my words.

When you end up being all alone with your opinion, it's always because everyone else on the planet went nuts. They do that to me from time to time too.

Why would the reason for or way anybody else does something affect how you feel about it? My pride is unchanged from the day I quit smoking, and is exactly the reason I'm in the "vape everywhere" camp.

I gave the reason in my post. But to explain a little more, I feel like it takes away from or detracts from this incredible thing that helped me quit a 15-year pack-a-day deadly habit. All of a sudden these kids burst in with zero mg nic, high wattage or mech mods, drippers, and they're blowing clouds and making little vape tornadoes and smoke rings and laughing at each other. They never smoked real cigs. They were never addicted. They never went hungry when all they had was six bucks and that six bucks went to a pack of smokes. Now that can all be blamed on me, but he who is without sin can cast the first stone. I see 18 year olds come in ALL THE TIME looking for high-end gear, and when I ask them if they smoke/do they smoke, it's almost 90% no. And even if they did smoke, they were social smokers and not grizzled PAD'ers.

I'm only aware of what happens to me in my sphere of influence and interaction, but if what I experience is only a fraction of what's happening elsewhere in the country, I understand the rush to ban vaping by ANTZ.

Like a lot of people here are saying... We'll destroy ourselves from within before those outside can deliver any kind of deathblow.

And now we are back to personal attacks I see...

But no. It's only about 6. The ones who hurl personal attacks, call names, put others down and can't have a civil discussion...

I agree about BT, they *could* be our ally instead of our enemy, but then they started all that nonsense about closed-system being "safer" -- they're only safer to BT's coffers; everyone else hates them and does everything they can to "hack" them. It's just a business tactic, they want to corner the market, post-regs, but it's a particularly dirty tactic, since those devices really don't work to help people quit smoking -- so it figures that BT would like them, and seek to have their opposites banned.

I was thinking about this "closed-system" thing more. I dunno how many remember it from the 80s and 90s, but after IBM's original "standard architecture" computers and their components became mainstream, IBM came out with another system called MicroChannel, which was not compatible with anything; anything you plugged into those boxes had to be compatible with the MicroChannel bus. Well, I think those died a fairly quiet and ignominious death, so widely had the ISA computers spread. It seems to me that this is the fate that BT has in mind for e-cigs, with their 'closed systems' -- perhaps they envision something along the lines of, say, Apple computers -- pricey and incompatible with anything unlike themselves -- but I think the MicroChannel scenario is far more likely. Apple computers have endured because there are truly great things about them, despite their high cost and lack of compatibility; there isn't one thing great about 'closed-system' e-cigs.
