If they havent got stock then they shouldn't accept the payment or at the very least ensure the customer knows its a pre-order.
The customer is buying these things thinking that they are in stock and will recieve the item within a few days.
There were many misleading or outright wrong things I've picked up on the site, but the fact that the Dura-Cs and PCCs were pre-order was readily apparent. Were the expected arrival/ship dates wrong, as for my 1st order, yes, my 2nd, not yet, but probably will be.
An update of some sort would have been nice and might have cut down on some of the emailed inquiries. Just a bold type on the page would have been okay with me and I would have left it.
As it was, I did inquire today. Not to demand answers about shipping, but with an offer to wait on my order. I did get a response, although not what I expected. I was given the next expected arrival/ship date. I had doubts my email had even been read and that they response was generic going out to all order inquiries. I wish I hadn't inquired as now I contributed to the countless others hounding them with emails.
I understand the frustration of those who ordered without having other options at home, but I'm hard pressed to believe anyone who says they ordered the Dura-C and were unaware of the pre-order/out of stock status and expected shipment the next day.
Filing with Paypal, instigating chargebacks, repeatedly emailing is just slowing everything down for everyone. Janty has a return policy, Paypal and CC filings are still available after. Have they handled this somewhat poorly, well yes, but they have a fairly good history. I can't say as much for some other sellers.
Now would you all just quit so they can devote all their attention to my orders.
