Still haven't heard from this guy since Friday. I have emailed him everyday to find out about my order and get nothing back. I guess i'll just have to file a complaint with PayPal and get my money back.

Seriously, you do not have to file a complain with PayPal.
Janty has been around for a long time, and they do not scam people.

All you need to do is write them an email and ask for a refund.
You'll have your refund faster then you can blink your eyes.

I'd have confidence in that statement if they'd shown any willingness to communicate throughout the entire process. If I can't expect any communication when trying to give him my money, why should I expect it when trying to get my money back?

Obviously you haven't read this entire thread. I have contacted him everyday asking what is going on with the order and I never get a response. Next thing coming is a PayPal complaint and I will let PayPal know that he uses that address for a business not personal use. I've tried to be patient, but this guy has really ...... me off.

lol sanneke , your always battling Janty's war for them, Kudos but misplaced. I expect much better service from one of the big names, and lets not forget it's not just one email , it's continual one way correspondence and it's not doing Janty any favours.

My rule of thumb : if i dont get goods within 10 days and no contact i start a paypal claim for goods not recieved.

They can't ship out stock if they haven't received it. In the case of the Dura-C I'd say Janty USA made the mistake of trusting their supplier's promised delivery dates and switched from perorder to normal order too soon. I hope they've learned not to do that next time, but I'm not going to judge them too harshly for this slip-up.

I'm not entirely sure what everyone is up in arms about. I've never ordered from JantyUSA before. I just placed my first order with them this past Saturday. I decided after the order was placed that I wanted to add something else and e-mailed them about it. I got a response the next day, on a Sunday. I emailed them last night asking when they might expect the Dura-C in and within a matter of maybe a half an hour Jeff got back to me to tell me that they were expecting their shipment on the 17th or the 18th and that all orders would go out the next day. My first experience, thus far, has been wonderful with prompt replies from Jeff.

My opinion: JantyUSA doesn't get the support or attention it needs from the parent company in Europe.

I think Jeff is short staffed, has no control over what the webpage shows as far as stock and he is at their mercy.

I've dealt with Jeff and he's always come through. I think he's getting hung out to dry by the parent company.

That's my take on it.

(To Jeff: Ditch the deadbeats at Janty before they drag you down with 'em.)

If they havent got stock then they shouldn't accept the payment or at the very least ensure the customer knows its a pre-order.

The customer is buying these things thinking that they are in stock and will recieve the item within a few days.

There were many misleading or outright wrong things I've picked up on the site, but the fact that the Dura-Cs and PCCs were pre-order was readily apparent. Were the expected arrival/ship dates wrong, as for my 1st order, yes, my 2nd, not yet, but probably will be.

An update of some sort would have been nice and might have cut down on some of the emailed inquiries. Just a bold type on the page would have been okay with me and I would have left it.

As it was, I did inquire today. Not to demand answers about shipping, but with an offer to wait on my order. I did get a response, although not what I expected. I was given the next expected arrival/ship date. I had doubts my email had even been read and that they response was generic going out to all order inquiries. I wish I hadn't inquired as now I contributed to the countless others hounding them with emails.

I understand the frustration of those who ordered without having other options at home, but I'm hard pressed to believe anyone who says they ordered the Dura-C and were unaware of the pre-order/out of stock status and expected shipment the next day.

Filing with Paypal, instigating chargebacks, repeatedly emailing is just slowing everything down for everyone. Janty has a return policy, Paypal and CC filings are still available after. Have they handled this somewhat poorly, well yes, but they have a fairly good history. I can't say as much for some other sellers.

Now would you all just quit so they can devote all their attention to my orders. :D

A little off topic, can anyone recommend a US company that I can order maybe a penstyle from? I'm on my last working 901 battery. It seems they all just decided to crap out within a few days. Every place I order from seems to be out of almost everything. Puresmoker is in the middle of their move, e-smokey treats is out of stock on the penstyle and I really haven't been all that impressed with the 901. I'm relatively new to all of this and any input on where I can get a penstyle that I'll use as a back up to my Dura-C when it arrives would be appreciated. I'm doing so well and now I'm fighting the urge to guy buy a pack. Haven't done that since October.

You will be treated well at Vapornine, Vaporguys or CigTechs. They all have the penstyle and all have great customer service/products.

BTW - Vaporguys has a 15% coupon code if you subscribe to their RS feed which is on their website.

BTW2 - Ecigmall.com has an AWESOME Penstyle that has a manual or auto switch and usb pass through. It is basically a copy of the Extended Kissbox.

I'll totally agree with that. From what I've read , Jeff is a stand up guy that always does his best to keep people happy .

Fact is he's trying to make up for Janty's failings in general.

Thers'a an awful lot of people complaing about Janty here lately one way or the other, funny enough all brung about by the '901 beating' Dura.
Let's hope that one failed product doesn't tarnish an otherwise reflective reputation.

There's no excuse for not keeping your customers informed and talking to them.

I also find it strange that those who pre ordered from Janty USA and JantyEurope are still waiting for their Dura-C to ship and yet they have been on the shelf for sale here in the UK for a week.

For what it's worth, I have been bowled over by the Dura-C and it's worth the wait.

I'll give credit where credit is due...

Jeff contacted me today via private message here. He checked the status of my order and let me know that the holdup is that one of my items (the USB pass-through) was out of stock and he is expecting some soon.

That said, it appeared to me that his primary concern was the beating his reputation has taken lately in the forums and not what caused it in the first place.

Did it have to take until it got this far to let me know the status of my order? No. Could all this have been avoided? Yep.

An ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure.

In closing, Jeff offered me a refund. At this point, I declined. I'll share one (paraphrased) comment that I offered Jeff:

** I don't want a refund. I want my products. I want them to be sooo good that I tell everyone I know that they have to have them. I don't order things just so I have a reason to ........ quite the opposite, in fact.**

I want to share good experiences with vendors here on the forums... but I'm not shy about calling out the bad ones, either. I'm hoping that I can still reclassify this one.

I haven't seen my shipment, but I feel bad for Jeff, I'm definately willing to wait on my items, probably one part is keeping it held up, I have a spare unit I use in the meantime, hopefully his parent company isn't screwing him up to hard, I understand there are only so many emails he can answer in a day, and even if people say they'd be ok with a short two line email, I can see everyone getting more ...... off and a two line blow off email of "we're swamped". We all know he's having a bit of issues, hell all the carriers are with some shipments not coming thru customs, and with the explosion of how popular these things have gotten.

Jeff good luck getting it all sorted out, if there is anything someone out here in Cali can do for you, let me know.
