Is there any vid's or pic's of the actual cig? Not the interface. Not the stock picture.

Are we aware of any testers floating about?

And they are being at least a little vague on the cartomizer details. I would like to see more on that. I would be on a pre order list if there was more "real" information. What I got from Janty on the carto was that it would be similar to models they already sell. Thanks Janty that clears that up :?:

Some of the features looks very promising actually. The modular vw joystick reminds me of something Raidy was making a few years ago. You could adjust your vaping power in accordance with how you used his 4 touch sensor switch. Some people when smoking liked either a soft or hard hit or you could start soft then suck hard to get a hard hit. I am assuming this is what they are referring too.
I think the concept is great. The only problem I am seeing is the atty itself, or the top of it. I do not like proprietary mouth pieces and that would be a killer for me.
As far as paying to get further modules.. if it connects to a computer, someone will figure out a hack, lol. buy the cheap mode, then just hack it.

I think this is a cool idea! I will (like most others) wait until pbusardo does a review before I consider buying one or not... all I have to say, is that if it works as advertised, I will definitely be buying one!

I have been looking around and around for a good VV/VW to have alongside my Hybrid, and this may just be it! I was going to grab an eVic, but after hearing reviews, and seeing how big it is, I think I will just wait for the Janty MiD.

This definitely has promise!

Cheers!

I would not want proprietary batteries. It's the old razor blade scam where they can gouge you for replacements or decide to stop making them altogether.

you can use IMR as well

Using other batteries than MiD CELL PRO HD 550 mAh batteries or AW IMR 16349 3.7 V 550 mAh batteries can result in serious damage to the device, the environment or yourself. We do not accept any claims if you use MiD with other batteries.
Im just thinking they base everything on there VV and VW to set profiles on the Mid. I bet someone will check out the other batteries and let us know what works.

For the average or beginning vaper - probably. But I can see possiblilities...

Might tend to agree with the display, though. But then again, I don't particularly care for a big screen on my PV - I think it detracts from the looks.

You run the thing on profiles that you setup in software I think, there for not needing the screen. I bought one of these just to check it out. Hope it works like I think it will. They are trying to be the Iphone of e-cigs...no screen and well made.

I was just looking at the janty mid last night. Very interesting indeed. Says they have been working on development since 2009, which I guess is reassuring? I will wait to hear what others think about it and the price lowers and the 2nd version comes up, ( may be awhile ). Plus I am interested in knowing how much the computer updated are. It almost sounds complicated to operate, lol

Btw they are up for preorder on the janty us site :). Please post if u pick one up

I bought one just to see it up close and checkout the software on it. Im a gadget person love that stuff.

This might be a great device. No need to pay from something you don't need.
The real question is what Do you get in the package. If it's just VW you might be paying a bit too much.

off the site

What you get with MiD "One" out-of-the-box
Variable Voltage/Wattage ecig with 4 on-board step up/step down vaping profiles in the range of 3V to 6V or 4W to 15W

I found this interesting. I asked them by email about the atty connector and this is what they have sent me.
The new Janty MiD Cone Cartomizer, is a 510/eGo threaded Cartomizer. This
new High performing proprietary MiD Cone Cartomizer, will be available at 2
Ohm . 2.5 Ohm . 3.0 Ohm versions.

So they say it is a 510/eGo threaded Proprietary cartomizer so I am assuming you will be able to put a standard 510 on there.

The last time I checked the price this thing (two days ago) It was $110 for pre-order. Now 142.95 marked down from 162.95 as it states today. I got my ProVeri for under $200 a year and a half ago (Dropped it a couple dozen times and it still works perfectly). If this is a really solid unit, and if you get all the functions without paying extra for them. It would be worth close to the same price point as the ProVeri.

$142 for the kit...its $110 for just the cig. I like the fact i can setup the vape i want in profiles and store 4 of them on the cig. I think it is worth the money just with the out of the box features. Only thing I might struggle with is knowing the oms of a carto with the flic of a button. Mainly like the looks and the tinker factor on the PC. If I pay $20 bucks more for something I want then cool.

I'm not sure that its for me either - but I think some people will really go for it. Paying for upgrades doesn't seem so bad to me - I am asked pay for certain ugrades with some software I use. With some I use the basic, or I can pay more for the "Pro" version. I tend to stick with the basic. It will depend on what the cost is and what the updates are I guess.
For folks into that kind of thing this may appeal. For some its of no interest at all of course.

Could not have said that better...

this was Janty's reply to me. I opened a help ticket to ask them questions directly.

All 510 and eGo Cartomizers will work on the MiD.
