I realized something today. My tanks that are converted to carto tank are actually a universal tank. By putting a a piece of the left over tubing cut from a ce2 into my top cap, you can then run a ce2 in them also. I also have a trick for those of you the use a top button mod, and have issues with clearance to the button. Put a mega (long) carto in a regular size cartos tank. Assemble it and mark for your slot cut. It will be approx 3/4" up from the bottom of the carto. When you re-assemble and fill it up, you will have a 1/2" extension built in and a little extra juice storage. You will be able to still slide the tank up to cover the hole, but since it has a solid one piece cap, you can't push it too far down. The cap has a stop built into it.

Ok, now for a little filling trick I figured out. Slide your bottom cap and tank up to cover the slot. Fill with juice. Put the top on up to the o-rings. Now for the trick, turn the tank upside down while holding onto the cap and push it all the way on. When it's up side down the feeder slot is on the top with the air bubble. When you put the cap on and create pressure in the tank, it will push out the air and not your juice. I get just a little juice coming out of the battery connector, but nothing like I did on my prototype tank.

So there you go folks, why buy a bunch of different tanks, when I can make you one that will hold 510 cartos both reg and Mega/XL and cut ce2's.

How's that for a sales pitch? I told you I was a terrible salesman LOL!!!:p

I cut the tubes to order. The tubes in the picture were just to show the size difference in the ce2 reg and XL tubes.

There sure is a lot of innovation at the moment. Fun to be a part of as a newbie. But yeah good move. Hey, so how do we tell whether its the mini or xl that is available on the ones where there's only one left?

I found a supplier for that size material in Hawaii of all places. My original tanks are designed around the Silver Bullet. I'll have to dig that link back up and see about getting some of that material.

Ah, so the colorful material you're using with these isn't available in a larger diameter? Well, there's always stainless steel if you ever decide to work with that.... :)

I have torpedo tank on my SB at the moment, and it kinda looks a little funny being skinnier than the SB. If it were wider and shorter, it would look soooooooo much better.

Though come to think of it, it can't be any shorter because of the CE2... it's already the smaller one.

Yes to that Capt. It didn't dawn on me until yesterday, while I was going over the dimensions and toying around with top cap. If you have the reg carto tube you can also run a ce2 reg. You have to use a 1/2" piece of left over ce2 tubing. Put the tubing in the top cap and it will take up the diameter difference and also the length difference. You still can't fill past the ceramic cup though or you'll get the ce2 flooding that we've all grown to love. I'll have to do some more math, but I'm sure the mega/XL carto tank can be done the same way with an XL ce2.

I'll try to get the 4 versions setup and pictures taken tonight while I turn some more endcaps. I've got some repeat colors and some new colors coming.

You mean a tank like this Natureboy? I built this tank in January from surgical grade stainless. This is the reason for the legal disclaimer. The stainless ce2 tank with a sleeveless top cap was my design. The other guy markets it like its his when mine predates his by 5 months. Too bad he can come up with something original.

What a shame that people can't play fair. You came up with it, that should be the end of it. Let him think of something himself if he wants to make money in this wide open market. I'm still trying to figure out what everything is. Maybe someone could write a book with pics for us dumb, (dare I say blonds??) who have trouble getting all this new stuff clear.
Did you get the PM I sent? I'm hoping you can tell me what I need to get. Sorry to be such a bother.

Yeah, see that looks better when it matches the diameter... guess it depends on which mod you use the tank with, but for the SB, wider looks better.

And his almost looks exactly the same, even the orange o-rings in the demo pics, lol.
