Never tried any other tank mods, but I am not interested in trying any others. This things is GREAT! so far it has been pocket friendly as well!! I would love to grab another maxi or 2. And you weren't kidding when you said these things are a tight fit. Any chance we can opt to get the top with the mouthpiece? I figure it can be easier to grab on the mouthpiece to pop the top off, but then also realize that there is a possibility that you can break it off if trying to do so. Beautiful and strong work Jon!

I just got done re-sizing the tanks, and here they are!!!

Here's a pic of the mini and maxi side by side for comparison. Sorry for the quality, I took these with my Iphone.

Here's what included in the DIY kit. 1) Lower cap 1) Top cap 1) Mini tank 1) Maxi tank

Price is $35 for the first kit and $30 for each additional kit. I'll be going down the PM list in the order that I get them, after I get to the people that have been waiting.

As requested, the top caps are now 1/8" taller, and I also added 1/16" to the maxi tank height. This should expose the wick just a little better, and provide a better vape.

I'm hoping now that I can get my prototype tank completed, and beta tested. If I can make this one work, it's gonna ROCK!!!

Jon, do you have me on the list? If not put me down. Also, what is the prototype? what is different with it from your other tanks?

Magnus, I have on of his tanks and yes the top cap covers the top of the CE2 just about all of the way. The only time I get a gurgling in mine is if I fill it too full. You can lay them on their side, turn them upside down, or any combination of and they do not flood like the map tanks do. I can definately see where adding the little bit to the lenght to the tube will help it wick better and still maintain a good seal. The only problem I've ever had with mine is the first time I took it apart to clean, I pulled the top off of the CE2. However, I slid it back on and it still worked like a champ

That's why I did away with the top cap with the integral mouthpiece. If you start to pull the ce2 atty off, you can pull your drip tip and push it back down before you break the wires or damage the coil. You couldn't do that with the one piece caps. If you want to expose a little more wick, when you change the ce2 out, just don't put it all the way in. Leave around an 1/8" sticking out of the bottom. Leave it empty and try the cap on it. If it's not in far enough, just tap it in a little further until you get it exactly where you want it. You're still sealing on roughly 1/4" of the cut ce2, so leaking shouldn't be an issue.

The REV 5 wick is a fatter wick one on each side of the CE2, the ones before this had a much skinner wick a loop on each side of the CE2 DSC06467.jpg
